'tis pretty snazzy
I was unsure as to whether I should give this amp a 7 or 8. I decided to give it an 8 as it has been very reliable, gives a good sound with lots of sound-shaping possibilities and is cheap as chips.
It gives great value-for-wonga and can quite comfortably hold its own at a band practice. The included footpedal gives instant volume change and also the 'ultrabass' function which gives off a really great bassy sound. It also looks pretty fab. You can't see it in that picture but when it's in front of you you can see the massive 12" aluminium cone through the grille and it looks great.
I just use mine as a practise amp now and because it has a great signal/noise ratio I can get a really good sound out of it at any volume.
I would reccommend this piece of kit to those who are serious about music but are just starting to rehearse with a band, and possibly doing some small gigs.
8/10
Behringer Ultrabass BX1200
Well what can I say?
At first glance you can see why Behringer have got such a good name.
The amp weighs around the top end of twenty-something kilos, making it a solid amp which is hard to damage(I know, I have a 3yr old!).
The sound which emanates from this nice and compact unit is clean and clear with very little distortion, even at high volumes.
The pedal is well made and can take pretty much everything you throw at it(including toys thrown mid-tantrum). The ability to kick in the 'Ultrabass' with the pedal was a nice little touch turning this powerful bass amp into a 'scary noise' which is sure to send small children running into another room with hands over their ears.
The full range of dials on the front is perfect for creating that sound that is just right for your playing and with the option of being able to link up more cabinets make this the perfect amp from jumping from the garage to the main stage. The headphone socket is a godsend for parents(and my fiance) who want that peace and quiet in their life.
The unit is secure whilst standing in the traditional upright position but is equally as impressive when shifted into its 'kicked-back' position.
Overall an impressive sound with an extremely affordable price tag making this an absolute bargin.
I would suggest a definate 9/10. It would of been a 10/10 but I found that at the end of a half mile walk with this twenty-something kilo beast attached to my arm I wasnt fit picking up a plectrum, let alone playing a 5 song set.

Not very good
A real let down I would not recomend this amp to anybody who wants to practice with their band with out buying a cab as well. But The only cabs you can get for it are 4 ohms and there isn,t many of them around to buy. avoid this amp if you want a decent amp and save yourself £1.39.
