The new AT2010 is designed to bring the studio-quality articulation and intelligibility of Audio-Technica's renowned 20 Series to the stage, for crystal-clear vocal performances.

Featuring the same 16 mm low-mass diaphragm found in the critically acclaimed AT2020 side-address studio condenser, the AT2010 excels wherever articulate vocals are needed: in houses of worship, for solo performances, jazz vocalists, singer/songwriters, and more.

Accurate, crisp sound

I bought this mic a few months ago and have used it live at church services and also for some recording. It sounds clearer, more crisp and gets the full sound of a singer's voice more than our Shure Beta 58's and our Sennheiser wireless mics. The wireless mics are great for convenience, so I will probably use them when leading, but the AT2010 beats the Sennheisers hands down on sound, so I will use the AT2010 whenever I'm tied to the piano. I'm hanging out to play more piano now! The black finish looks great on the stand, also.

For those worried about feedback, I got no feedback at all with this mic, and I was sitting at 90° to a wedge monitor only a few metres away. We have more problems with our guitars and piano than this mic.

In recording the AT2010 sounds slightly better than the Shure Beta 58. I don't have a lot of experience in recording, but it will certainly do me for now. It's exactly what I want because it gives a good sound without needing a pop-filter, stand and all the other stuff that regular studio mics need.

Highly recommended.
