Designed with both the performing and recording guitarist in mind, the GNX3000 Guitar Workstation® features Component-Based Modeling™ for the most authentic tone you’ve ever experienced. Until now, critical listening has been the focus for referencing and reproducing amp models. You got a “tone snapshot” of an amp that only captured a fraction of what the amp could do. It was like looking at one frame of film from a two-hour movie: beautiful, but incomplete. Component-Based Modeling™ captures the entire signal path: the cabinet's components and acoustic behavior, the multiple clipping stages, the power feedback and tube saturation characteristics, and the speaker and output transformer interaction. Even cabinet size and composition are factored in. It gets the whole picture, so you get the whole tone. The end result not only sounds like the amp you want, it acts like the amp you want whether playing with a soft touch or digging in. It’s an amp modeling breakthrough that must be heard to be believed.

Contemporary guitarists will find the DigiTech GNX3000 Guitar Workstation to be an indispensable creative tool. It has 1/4" and XLR outputs with independent level controls, letting you connect to your onstage rig and house PA simultaneously. A USB audio/MIDI interface makes recording easier than ever with the included Hands Free Pro Tracks Plus software, delivering a complete recording environment with no external mixer needed.

Amazing Pedal...

I purchased the GNX3000 two years ago, when it sold for around £400. Obviously, being that expensive, I was hoping that it would be an amazing pedal...and it was.

The amp simulations are vast and accurate. They range from clean Fenders, to heavy Mesa\'s and the ability to combine two amp sounds is superb. You may spend endless hours finding a tone that suits you, but trust me, you WILL find one you like. I could go on for ages listing the effects, but just imagine every great stompbox in this pedal. It includes models such as the Ibanez Tubescreamer to make your solos meatier, and the Boss DS-1 for Nirvana-esque riffs.

The drums included are basic, listing various styles such as metal, hard rock, progressive and latin, but it also includes a metronome, that can be played in various time signitures.

I have used the GNX3000 to record to my PC for a few months now, and it works fantastically. At first I used the included Pro Tracks Plus software, but am using Cubase SX3, as I want to use VST instruments.

Overall, this is a brilliant pedal, however, as the price has now been lowered so much, you may want to consider the GNX4. While retainging all the features from the GNX3000, it also includes an on-board recorder, and improves drums.

This really is an awesome piece of kit. Manufactured to a high standard the unit contains high quality modeling DSPs that provide you with a huge range of high quality 24 bit sound sculpting possibilities right out of the box.

The unit and associated instruction manual take some time to become familiar with but the combination is powerful and allows you to quickly design new sound stages for guitars based on a huge variety of amps, cabinets, stomp box and FX combinations. Best results and experimentation benefit from using the software and unit together.

The unit provides a wide range of input and output options that can be programmed according to different scenarios. Best of all are the sound that the unit provides which are just phenomenal. Buy this and you will have many happy hours devising your own sound style and favourites. Enjoy.
