Cheap as chips but much more useful.
For £10 a microphone I was not expecting much, but they come in a sturdy well padded box ideal for throwing in the boot or a car and keeping the mics working, the gain and sound are of course not that good but the build quality is excellent and for spare studio and gig mics for backing vocals or instrument pick up you can\'t got wrong, plese note they DO NOT come with leads so don\'t forget to order your XLR leads.
Outstanding value
These would count as very good mics at £80 each, but at about a tenner each they are astonishing. Well-made, look good, and a nice feel to them. And they sound good, too. Tight cardioid polar response. Handling noise is OK - not the best, but no worse than average for this type of mic. Good frequency response - nice to listen to, with just a bit of brightness.
The frequency response graph is printed on the side of the wrapper, and Dolphin would be doing everyone a big favour if they printed it here. The graph ties in with what you hear when using it. It has a significant \'brightness\' lift in the 4k-12k region - the graph says 6dB but I am surprised it is as much as that. Unoffensive, and gives the mic a bright quality and adds to intelligibility and cutting through the mix.
But the most significant thing to note about the frequency response in use is the proximity effect - all directional mics have this, and a mic with hypercardioid tendencies like this one will have a bit more of it than most. At 1m (no proximity effect), the bass response shelves gently from 200Hz, -2db at 100Hz, and -5db at 60 Hz. It sounds substantially flat. At 10cm it gives you a bit of a bass lift - starting from about 400Hz and peaking at about +4dbB around 150Hz, giving it a bit of a warm quality. And if you are a rock-style mic swallower then at 2cm you\'re getting a whopping +12dB at around 150Hz (+8dB at 300Hz, +10dB at 200Hz), and you really are going to have to apply some EQ to tweak that out. That\'s not a criticism of the mic - it\'s just a a function of the physics of the acoustic effects you get with directional mics - they all do that Sir. But you need to be aware of it and compensate with your EQ accordingly.
Overall, a very good mic. Top marks at this price.
If I had to think of a criticism, it is that Behringer didn\'t provide some way of locking the mic switch in the ON position like other mics let you do (some mics have a locking plate that you can screw into the switch slot to stop it being turned off). A mic that you can switch off is an accident waiting to happen in a live performance. I used a few turns of self-amalgumating tape around the body to fix it in the ON position.
Behringer XM1800S
I didn\'t really expect much at the price these units come in at but I was pleasantly surprised. They actually perform pretty well for vocals with a good pickup pattern, and with a tweak or two on the EQ pretty much match my Shures. They would also make a great mic for speaker cabs. I suspect I\'ll be buying some more.
mics
buy these mics they are top quality and they come with 3 mic clips and case, we bought these for putting around a drum kit they`ve been hit with sticks and droped and still work unbelievable for the price, and sound great for vocals too
Behringer XM1800S
We have been using these mikes for a while for general recording and PA work for the youth bands and other events we do and have found these good reliable mikes.
They have quite a warm sound (in my opinion) and are quite durable. They also have a fairly decent gain before feedback, and a fairly decent pickup range and background noise rejection.
My only real quarms are the switches on them feel fairly cheap, and i always think it is a bit of a pointless thing in any case, cus as a sound guy, i find it annoying if people switch off the mikes and then look at you as if it is your fault there is no sound!
Also I would prefer them a bit more if they were shaped a bit more like the Rode M3, but overall i like them a lot.

I bought these mics online and what can I say but..WHAT A BARGAIN!!! 26 quid for 3 very solid mics that actually don't sound bad at all. Been in the biz for over 20 years and had a lot of mics but I bought these for a youth group at my church and I'm gonna keep one as a spare.
Cannot fault Dolphin in any way at all. If you need a reliable and VERY cheap set of mics, buy these.
XM1800S (3 pack) Vs Shure SM-58
We purchased a Shure SM-58 for our local church (because of the name) and I thought there must be something similar that's cheaper. After a lot of research I found these and couldn't believe the price (well done Dolphin Music) and the reviews they had had. Tried them out as a test against the SM-58 and thought they were pretty much equal in every way, except the Behringers were better at picking up the voice. Very impressed and would recommend them to anyone, especially given the fantastic price - a much better buy to the SM-58! The only reason I can see for buying the SM-58 is for the label.
Behringer XM1800S 3pack Mic
These must rate 10/10 and 2 for neatness!I needed some reasonable microphones for an "outdoors" Karaoke gig.3 Mics for under £20,which,when teamed with the Lynx professional XLR leads, offer unbelievable quality and sound, comparable with products costing loads more.Add that to great service from Dolphin, and you will not be dissappointed!Oh,I almost forgot....These Microphones come in a great carry case too.A+++
Behringer XM1800S
We bought a pack of these for the PA system in our local church, who are on a tight budget. We were amazed at the quality, and the feedback rejection in areas where we had previously had problems. Now our local schools are buying them, and the church are ordering another pack. Come to think of it, why am I writing this - they may sell out!
Behringer XM1800S (3-PACK)
Good-for-your-money DURABLE mics. You can virtually throw them around and they will still work well. A slight "boominess" on the bass frequencies but still good for general recordings.
