EHX Bass Micro Synth
This pedal gives a great range of anologue sounds from classic synth sounds to percussive effects to 80\'s bass sounds.
Mixing the Sub-octave, Guitar and Octave voicings gives you well rounded tones with the Square Wave giving you differing amounts of distortion.
The Attack Delay allows bowing effects to be used which can be used pretty well when recording but not too great for live playing.
The real hard work comes in the Filter Sweep section. It is best that you use the provided Sound Templates to get an idea of how to create the sound you are looking for (EHX were happy to e-mail settings to me when I didn\'t get them in the box). A slight adjustment to one of these settings has a huge effect on the sound provided. This is great in as much as it allows you a huge scope of effects but it takes some getting use to!
The pedal comes complete with its own adaptor which is great.
One thing to be wary of is the bypass button, it does not appear to be a true bypass and can bleed the tone from your normal sound.
The only other thing is that on a small practice amp the speaker can vibrate like crazy giving some unwanted noise.
All in all this is a great pedal, very adaptable and can actually be used in a live environment for a slightly different sound.
You might not be able to get all of the nuances of the classic Stevie Wonder 70\'s Bass Moog sound but you can get pretty close!
