GREAT PEDAL Not just for Nirvana fans
This pedal was made famous by Kurt Cobain, who used it a lot in Nirvana's "In Utero" album...as, judging by the Harmony Central reviews, most people who bought thise pedal did so because of this!
And, sure enough, you can get the "Radio Friendly Unit Shifter" sound...but, man...you can get SO much more than that!
It does need some tweaking to get used to it and experiment, because there are so many sounds you can get, from wacky and noisy to the lushest chorus I've ever heard.
The Flanger sound is meaty, organic, fantastic.
The chorus is simply a pleasure to hear, but here's a tip: to be able to get a good, classic chorus sound, you MUST turn the "Feedback" and "Delay" knobs all the way down, and take it easy with the "Width" one...keep it no more than half-way up,because the "Rate" can go SO SO SO very extreme, that you need to make sure it isn't overwhelming. If you follow this...you gonna get such a beautiful chorus sound that it makes a classic chorus pedal such as the Ibanez CS-9 sound poor.
Filter Matrix is interesting, but i never found much use for me. Likewise the "Double Track", which i never reall use but does sound good if you want that classic 50's echo-y sound.
It's just not a full, round 10 because i'd rather if instead of double track and/or filter matrix it had phaser or tremolo sounds.
But other than that - fantastic.
