With a solid spruce top and Nato back and sides, the12-string version of the CPX700 produces a bigger, fuller sound than the smaller bodied APX guitars, perfectly suited to the wide range of sounds produced by a 12-string acoustic.

These guitars are designed to provide great on stage performance with larger, deeper bodies that deliver a powerful, dynamic sound, the ultra-natural ART pickup system and cutaways to provide access to the upper frets. Utilising Yamaha’s new A.R.T. (Acoustic resonance Transducer) pickup, which offers the player the most natural sound of any acoustic pickup, the CPX700-12 is built to play live. The CPX700-12 is fitted with a 1-way A.R.T. pickup and the System 56 preamp, complete with powerful 3-band equalizer, to gives players the ability to create a range of sounds suited to any situation.
