Ibanez AGB-C Hard Case For Artcore AGB140 Reviews

9/10

Ibanez Artcore agb140 Bass

Bought the Artcore on a whim for its looks.
It turned out to be one of the best buys I ever made. The build and finish on the instrument is of a much higher quality than I expected for the price. the hardware is sturdy and the electronics seem powerful enough.

I will compare the Guitar with my old friend of many years, Rickenbacker 4003.

First I liked the longer scale on the Ibanez, I had the strings replaced with Flats which gives a warm woody sound - very 60s - moreso than the Ricky.

The tone and volume controls are simplicity to use , again a plus point over the fiddly and confusing high pricer.

The pickup is not as powerful as the Rickenbacker twin set up - but it has never proved to be a problem.

It holds tune well and the neck is comfortable to play and is well marked.

As it is a semi acoustic long scale it is not as well balanced as the the ricky. It is neck heavy and has to be supported whilst playing, kinda Bill Wyman style. Again Not a major problem.

The 9 out of 10 is for the best reasons. It is a pretty guitar, It plays lovely (all styles btw). I'm not afraid to say, that it started out as my 2nd guitar, but quickly put the Rickenbacker on the subs bench - it's that good.

I went to the USA for my holidays and bought its brother the ASB140 (double cutaway amber burst - we should have them here too!!!)
These are the guitars I use

The minus one point is for the availability of a hard case - non existent except here apparently!

Price Matching

Dolphin Music brings you the best music gear at the best price. We are committed to superior customer service and have extensive product knowledge. However, in today’s market we may not always be aware of all the price fluctuations of the products we sell. So, we offer competitive price matching.

Please fill in the following form to request a price match.

What prices we will match?

We will compare prices for new, direct from manufacturer items, excluding any add-ons, options, or other special features which may affect price.

The item must be new and must be the exact same make and model (ie, the same size, version, etc.).

Since our postage charges are lower than most of the shops, the comparison price must be a "delivered cost" to the consumer.

If we are unable to verify the previous condition, we will notify you that we require additional information to verify the Price Match request. Our goal is to make this policy simple and hassle-free. We are committed to responding to your requests quickly.

The price you have found must be the Internet Retailer's regular, advertised price for a current and available item. The price you found cannot be a closeout, discontinued, blemished, year-end, inventory reduction, or any other type of advertised sale price.

Price Matching requests may not be combined with any other promotional discounts, specials or other price incentives.

Prices and price sources you have found which do not meet the above criteria or in which incomplete or inaccurate information is provided to us, will not be approved for our Price Match.
