This Ibanez AEL10 features a spruce top with an inky gloss black finish and is highlighted by meticulous pearl rosette and white binding. The cutaway grand concert-style body with spruce top and mahogany back and sides produces tight and crisp tone. Ibanez/B-Band SquealRepeal pickups and Ibanez SRT preamp give you precision control over electric output.

B-Band transducers act much like a condenser mic, providing a sound much less coloured than a piezo's. If you've considered a piezo to sound "plastic", this is the technology for you.

The Ibanez SquealRepeal pickup features an innovative feedback reduction system that will keep your sound loud on-stage, without any annoying squeal creeping into the mix. No adjustment or fiddling with controls is required. The Ibanez SRT preamp has a built-in tuner.

I chose this Ibanez after endless searches for a black acoustic, albeit that there aren\'t that many.
I\'m a firm Ibanez fan already using an RG and a couple of their Basses. This one was a bit of shot in the dark for me, and overall I\'m not disappointed. With a rating of 7 (hard one to call that)
I\'m not going to start to pull every detail of this guitar apart.
My main observations: very nice finish, albeit a bit on the thin side. Suspected and now sadly confirmed very easy to chip the black finish. Action is bordering on painful to the fingers, but easily rectified and I guess in this price range you can\'t expect too much factory setting up. My one real gripe is the electrics - maybe I expected too much having chosen the B-Band against piezo, I find the controls quite annoyingly unresponsive, and the 1/4 jack input is \'very\' insecure..lots of crackling (with a known good cable) with just normal movements during playing. Now that\'s just simple quality control - poor show Ibanez. Nice sound unplugged and hopefully even better when the action is sorted out.
