Yamaha APX series hard case

Very happy with the case - does everything we hoped it would. Good fit for the guitar, not heavy (which had been a concern) so very pleased. More to the point though, we were especially pleased with the help and advice we received from Dolphin Music who informed us when an unexpectedly delivery had come in, the service was fast, efficient and with concern and consideration for its customer. Thank you.

Expensive but worth the extra

In my humble opinion, all decent guitars should have a hard case and, although this one is expensive compared to some other brands, I feel it's worth the additional cost.

The case itself is branded with the Yamaha logo but is made by Hiscox. For those that don't know Hiscox have been in the instrument case manufacturing business for 22 years (since '85). So you get the extremely high construction standards of Hiscox in a case made specifically for the APX range of guitars.

The ABS impact-resistant plastic plastic used in this case makes it's extremely durable and hard-wearing, whilst remaining light enough to carry.

The plastic shell edges are finished in an aluminum valance which interlocks to provide extreme rigidity on the join, this valance continues deep into the case and all fasteners hinges, etc are riveted to it providing an extremely strong case.

The inside of the case is lined with red crushed velvet, making it from the Hiscox Pro range (as the standard range has fur lining). It also has a compartment under the neck rest for your capo, strings, plectrums, etc.

If you're taking your Yamaha APX on a long journey or just want some serious protection for your guitar, this is the case to get.

9/10 because of the higher cost compared to other suitable cases.
