Cheap, but fantastic guitar.

Unlike the other reviewer, I found this to be a superb little guitar for the money.

I bought mine second hand for £130 and have gigged it regularly now for a couple of years. The body has great sustain which is associated with the Les Paul, and the overall sound is superb especially with the selector on bridge pick ups.

Other than string changing, I've had no issues with it. All the hardware is well made and electrically sound. The tuner pegs look a little on the cheap side, but mine remains in tune and rarely needs tuning during gigs. The body and neck despite life in the back of a van and numerous gigs have stood the test of time and still look as good as new.

Is this the best guitar ever ? Probably not, but on a budget I'd say mine is as good as any Epiphone Les Paul copy I've ever played and cheaper to buy.

I bought it to be a spare for live performances, but found it to be so good it is now my regular guitar to play live due it's sound and robustness.

In my mind, for the money you'd pay, I don't think you can go wrong with this guitar if you are after a Les Paul, just make sure it is set up correctly to start with.

Review of Vintage V99

The guitar came with a bad setup. Fret buzz everywhere, 15th fret dosnt work. I decided to take the pickguard off and it has been screwed in too tight and had gone into the wood leaving a screw thread in the paint on the front of my guitar and engraved the bracket print into the side. Also when i bought this guitar the shop assistant told me it was made from the same wood as the V100, Mahogany. Intact it is Eastern Poplar. The guitar also refuses to stay in tune especially the G string. The guitar does have a nice sound for the money and looks nice but I am very disappointed in this guitar and want to get something else or get this fixed after a just month.
