Vintage Red Wine Deluxe
Very beautiful guitar and easy to play. Difficult however to adjust sleeve to obtain a perfect correctness. Some too high frettes also returns the complicated tuning. To make revise by a stringed-instrument maker but seen his price, it is worth there...
Vintage Les Paul V100 wine red
Guitar was well packed and ready to play straight from the box. Considering the price of this guitar, the finish neck and hardware are hard to fault. The guitar sounds well both through both my Vox VT15 and Guitar Rig 3 with the mini humbuckers easily giving me great blues tones from EC type \'Woman\' tones to BB King highs. I would have given this guitar a ten rating but there were a couple of niggling things that had to be corrected. I had to reverse the saddles for strings 3 to 6 as the intonation couldn\'t be set properly. Also the neck gives off a really black/dark brown dye when it is played. This was easily remedied by cleaning the neck during a string change with a cloth moistened with some lighter fluid. I have been playing since I was 16 (I am now 50 and have owned a Gibson Les Paul in the past so I know a little about them)and there really isn\'t a great deal of difference between the Gibson and the Vintage.
Apart from the easily remedied minor niggles mentioned above, I would whole-heartedly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a Les Paul in this price range. I would even go so far as to say that it would be hard to get a better quality guitar for twice the price as this one cost me. Nice job Vintage and Trevor Wilkinson!
Who needs an Epiphone?
Those Les Paul copies by Vintage give Epiphone Les Paul Standard guitars a run for their money.
Trev Wilkinson parts are always good quality, the guitar is well built and feels and sounds like a Les Paul. Given that a Les Paul Deluxe is rare and expensive, this copy is an excellent option and will surely stand out in the sea of Les Paul guitars out there!
Mini humbuckers rock!
