V100 Black
Ordered and arrived quickly. BUT this guitar was not set up or even finished properly. Almost all the screws on the front were loose, including the bridge, pickboard etc. Not good. After tuning the loose strings, I discovered Fret BuZZ.Not just a litle but loads. The bottom three strings all touched 2-3 frets when only the first fret was pressed. Sounded terrible. So lifted the action - no better.Stretched the strings. No better. Lowered the pickups,no better. Then I loosened the far-too-tight truss rod. Hey presto ! Then had to go through resetting action and harmonics again. Still left with quite a high action, but I think this is necessary to lift off the uneven frets. It is playable though. The sound from this guitar is really rather good.Fretboard is faster than I\'m use to, so fast runs are possible.Weight is not too bad (compared to my old Marlin Sidewinder).Bought with HD300 from Behringer, sounds good. Getting clean tones can be a problem if picking hard, seems to have a bit of an aftertone/ring somehow. Hard to pin this down.Might be just the set-up, or natural distortion. Plenty of sustain. Very nicely finished, once fully screwed together. Not sure about the soldering inside, looks a bit amateur. All in all, once setup properly, very playable.
