This guitar.....

This guitar is amazing! Before i even thought of buying a Jackson i was stuck in my \"lets play a cheap Cruiser guitar\" bearing in mind i\'m the lead guitarist/joint vocalist for my Heavy Melo-Death Thrash Metal band lol. So yea Cruisers are a no no in Metal. But this Jackson is an absolute gem to own and play. The body is a bit tricky to sit with but you can work it out (i sit with the smallest point resting between my legs on a chair when recording) the guitar itself sound wise is amazing again. Using my Zoom fx pedal the chug and clarity it gives is to die for also clean sounds dont sound distorted anymore and play so clear. All in all this guitar is a MUST OWN to any Hard rocker or Metal head like myself especially if its your first guitar. 7yrs of playing i still wonder what the hell i was doing without this guitar all them \"practice\" years.

I got this guitar for christmas from this site. I have gotta say it is a great guitar, although it is hard to play sitting down. When i got it was delivered the strings were still tuned and all seemed well. (you can thank trustworthy Jackson for that haha) it sounds great too as well as looking lethal. The strings were the in a good position too. close to the fretboard but no fretting out at all :D. this guitar also sounds very clean, and as i have only been playing for 3 months my playing is sloppy but i can tell it is a well made guitar. The build quality is also really great too everything feels as rigid as it did when i opened it about 4 months ago. Delivery was lightning fast too :) Thats dolphin for the great service and the free magazine was a delightful surprise too haha

Great For Beginners

This is an interesting guitar for a number of reasons. Firstly it looks fantastic, it is a Jackson after all. For that metal look you can not beat Jackson. Secondly this plays like a guitar easily worth £350. The neck is so comfortable and with a little tweaking the action can be spot on.
Now this is where beginners buying this as a main guitar and more experienced guitarists buying this as a back-up get divided. The pick-ups are really great for practice volumes when you add a little crunch. As for clean tones or when you crank it up (gigging or band practice for example) it begins to show why you got this guitar for so cheap.
So my recommendation would be: if you\'re a beginner looking for a great guitar to play metal in your room at a reasonable sound level then defiantly try out the JS30RR. If - like me - you\'ve been playing for a few years and need a new back-up and you don\'t have the cash right now to go for something more up market buy this, wait a little while and get a set of EMG active pick-ups. You won\'t believe you\'re playing the same guitar when you hear it.

And yes we all know about the position of the lead but it\'s a Randy Rhodes so there are some compromises to be made

This is an amazing guitar with the great METAL look!! the action is amazing and can be lowered until the strings are actually touching the frets! it is so easy to do harmonics. Although the description says it's for beginners I would recommend it to more than a beginner, if your serious about guitar and like metal and £800 for the Jackson RR5 is too much for you this is a great guitar to go for!!
I can't give it 10 because of the position of the lead, if you don't already have one you will have to get a lead with a right angle on one end because it digs into yours leg and you will end up braking it, this is only when you sit down though.
Overall a great guitar well worth buying!!!

The Js30 RR, Now theres a guitar. im not saying that because i have one its just the sheer beauty of every corner catches the eye, not to mention the shape, a V with a slightly elongated tail, its a must have for any aspiring musician every where because
1, The quality is amazing
2, Its a Jackson
3, The sound that the EMG's throw out is superb
4, its cheap

What are you waiting for get out there and try one.
