my white telecaster arrived promptly well packaged as from manufactuer the gutair sounds real good tele style of course very pleased with dolphin music for their efficent service and also the speedy delivery

Fender Mexican Telecaster

I've always been a big fan of Fender, the Tele in particular, and over the years this guitar has gone through many incarnations, but if the guitar I recently ordered is anything to go by, the Mexican factory has some catching up to do in terms of attention to detail and quality control, to match its far eastern counterparts. Out of the box the bodywork was damaged, and the bridge plate was attached at such an angle that the high E string was almost falling over the edge of the fingerboard, so it was sent back immediately. The next example had a similar off-angle bridgeplate, which didn't affect the string course but looked unsightly where it crookedly met the straight edge of the pickguard. On both examples the headstock has a lip and hollow where it meets the neck at the nut - probably due to computer controlled routers, lacking the slab cut simplicity of Leo Fender's original design. I think the Squier models are better finished, and the American models more authentic. I do like the feel of the neck and the authentic Tele sound, but would I buy another Mexican model? Simply, no.
