Whether it be PC or MAC, Windows, OS9, OSX or even Unix/Linux, if you are after a multi-i/o audio interface look no further. I could eaisly just repeat the lovely stats from the M-Audio site, but I'd rather tell you that I have used mine on all of the above platforms and it has performed flawlessly. I'm not even overly concerned with it's lack of XLR inputs /mic pre-amps. (Most people like to use there own pres anyway)

And the LT (lite) version actually does give two XLR inputs for those who don't want to spend money on there own mic pre-amps. In fact, I'd say the only limitation that I have found was more to do with the capabilities of the chosen platform. If your machine is up to it, this baby does what it says on the tin!! Add to this the fact that you can stack up to four interfaces (giving 32 inputs - not including S/PDIF), this is simply as good as it gets. It includes midi I/O for those who are not only working with audio, great drivers and excellent support. I highly recommend getting your hands on one of these today!

12 months ago I took a chance on these items. I had a low budget for a pro studio recording but decided to do it myself and spent the money on a Delta 1010 and a delta 1010LT. I have to say, it was money well spent. I recorded the complete band, guitars, bass, drums through the 1010 and the vocals through the 1010LT with the xlr connectors, I used a sure SM 58 , not ideal for vocals but though the LT it was perfect. My OS is windows XP Home, the installation of both cards was really easy, I installed the 1010 first and then the LT, the driver for the 1010 runs both perfectly. I used cubase, cool edit pro 2.0 and the ableton live4 lite version shipped with the cards and all software worked perfectly. I recorded my tracks which can be heard at www.bebo.com/firek9 with it, and though I am no producer, I think the card and breakout box did fantastically well. I am now buying another 1010 and will probably go for 2 more, I can install 3 1010's and keep the LT for the mics, and only one driver in required. I currently have the ability to record though 16 inputs simultaneously and play back through 16 outputs , into my mixing disks for mastering. I was so impressed with these items, I later bought a M Audio studio condenser mic for vocals, another excellent product.
Its a perfect low cost solution for all musicians.
If you are thinking of buying the M-Audio Delta 1010 or the LT version, stop thinking and buy it, it is an amazing card.

Definitley deserves 10 out of 10

This is currently the best audio interfacing solution for hard disk recording in Windows 2000. I use it with Sonar, and have had wonderful results. It has 8 Ins/Outs. You'll need good mics and preamps, a fast processor, preferably a fast SCSI drive, and plenty of RAM. Then you can do anything.
