GREAT BUDGET MICROPHONES

Richard (April 14, 2008)
Rating: 7/10

I think these are great microphnes for people on a tight budget and want good quality sound.

The kick and snare microphone are great they sound just as good or if not better than mics worth £100+.

Only one bad point is that they do let in alot of bleeding from other drums around which can sometimes spoil a good track. But thats nothing a little nosie gating cant fix.

I would reccomend buying 2 overhead microphones as these dont pick up the cymbals too well.

They come in a plastic flight case which was more than i expected for this price.

Overall i am very happy with my purchase and i recommend them to anyone who is starting a small home studio project and wants good quality sound.

Samson Mics...

Tim Douglas (February 29, 2008)
Rating: 9/10

These mic's are perhaps the best entry level drum set mics in existance. They not only provide great frequency response but also have good sound isolation.

one minor downfall of these mics is the mid sound you get from toms, but this is easily solved with a simple multipresser cancel out the mid range frequencies and boost the low and high end and this problem is solved instantly.

all in all a must have piece of kit for the just starting out proffesional studio.

ill give it 9 :)
