Improvement on the earlier model in that the clip is stronger, the gooseneck also, which allows it to be moved to more parts of the instrument. Also, the detachable and tougher mini XLR cable is new, and detachable, making it replaceable! Soundwise, excellent AKG! Sounds tremendous on tenor and alto saxes, along with baritone. I used it with the AKG40 WMS 40 Oro Instrument set for live work, but have also recorded in studio environments with it, achieving great results.
