CME UF6

I bought my CME UF6 from dolphin music about 5 months ago and after receiving one of the quickest deliveries iv ever come across online (under 24 hours between clicking "buy" and the courier ringing my doorbell with the keyboard), I can tell you - I’m very happy.

Didn’t take me long to set up - just plugged in the power cable and the midi cable and I was away playing in FL studio. A little bit of messing around and was able to set up the first 16 mixer channels of the mixer to be controlled by the keyboard and control any vsti knobs I desired with the keyboards. I can't comment on the USB driver/configuration as I haven’t used it.

The semi - weighted keys feel great, definitely the best part of the keyboard. They feel firm and springy - might take you a bit of getting used to if you’ve only ever used plasticy mushy ones before but im sure like me you wont want to go back.

The transport control buttons weren’t very successful with FL in that only "play" and "stop" worked. In reason (after a bit of messing around) I could get everything except the "record" button to work.

Things I’ve heard others gripe about with this keyboard:

- Knobs feel cheep ... I don’t think they feel too bad at all, but then again I haven’t ever owned any real expensive kit.

-No polyphonic aftertouch ... true, but again something that doesn’t bother me as I don’t even use the monophonic aftertouch.

-Dodgy Chinese translated manual … yep the manual is quite amusing but you can get the just of it.

The only real part about this keyboard that I wasn’t 100% happy with was the transport buttons not going down well with my sequencers, not exactly a show stopper but that’s why I’m not giving it 10/10. If like me you’re after a controller keyboard that can do its job, and do its job well with a good selection of knobs and sliders for a very fair price, I can't not recommend this keyboard to you!

I use these IEM on the road for our Tribute bands in stead of floor monitors we have no problems in fact, less setup time, less stage amplifiers, no feedback on stage or FOH - Excellent. Eeach IEM transmitter can be named depending on who is using it - Neat idea.
