Having used this item for some time now with my Line 6 Flextone iii xl I can say is its the biz and does what I need it to. All you need to do is get round the programming and you will find it totally flexible. You can change programmes directly without having to have patches in the same order as they are on the amp and gain access to the wah and other parameters via the 2 control pedals.
Got a Flextone then get one of these instead of the floorboard and have enough change(around £120 left in yor pocket) to spend on a limo to take you to your next gig.

Behringer 1010 Midi board

(August 29, 2008)
Rating: 8/10

Once I'd thrown away the manual and seeked help from the 1010 forum, things started to click into place for me. I now run three separate effect racks at once with the 1010 and all's working fine. You have to set the board up in 'global' first and then use the direct settings to program. It's well made, apart from the plastic foot pedals, but does what it says (or doesn't say!) in the manual.
The cheapest board on the market, but good enough for pro's.

Behringer fcb1010

As along time user of a Line 6 flextone 2 head, I was fed up with the reliability of the dedicated floorboard (dodgy swithes & poor wah function) & it's limited functions, so I decided to take the plunge & try a midi board & ordered the Behringer fcb1010, whilc at £125 at the time was great considering the line 6 board (for a discontinued model) is still £200.
Ok straight out of the box I was impressed by the weight & quality of the unit which looks bomb proof. The switches all feel positive & respond nicely, the display is large enough to see on stage too !
Having no experience with midi programming I was ignorant to to battle that would follow to get it working, the manual is, as is with all Behringer products fairly useless to say the least, so plenty, of googling later found a good forum with plenty of advice, soon got basic functions sorted !
After a bit more faffing about got the wah & volume pedals going too ,
again I though the quality of the expressions pedals were great, very sturdy indeed, the onlt gripe is that there is no on/off on the pedal it'self so a seperate switch via on of the controller pedals on the board is used here.
But then again this product has not been designed for use with this amp so not a problem.
I like the flexability it offers & the fact that I can take total control of the amp from the floor with a lot more user presets that the setup would normally allow, switching between sounds is fast & flawless with no lag or drop outs in the sound.
The on/off swith for the unit is place well out of the way so you won't switch off accidentally.

All in all this is a very good bit of kit, especially for the price, all that is needed is a bit of patience & some great results can bet had,The use of midi has allowed me to get the best out of the flextone head & use some of the functions that can only be accessed from the line 6 edit software,A REAL CREDIT TO BEHRINGHER,who produce some really good products at a sensible price ,they seem to have found a niche in the market where quality & price are priorty.

I give this product 9 out of 10 simply because of the bad manual which caused a headache in programming, but like I say this can be overcome & once you get your head around it you'll be glad you bought it .
