The receiver is a sturdy piece compared to some others I have viewed and tried, it has good outputs, and useful LEDs (that said, I think more than one green light when receiving a signal would be helpful, more like 3 step lights showing signal strength).

The trasnmitter is excellent, battery compartment is on the front, and has a green LED which lets you see how you're doing for power. Note that once turned to red, you won't have more than 2 hours battery power left. If volume switch for output is unfortunately inside the battery compartment meaning it is difficult to change the output level to the receiver whilst playing. Depending on use, this may or may not impede your situation.

Sound wise, this system is excellent - I use it with an AKG 519L clip on mic for saxophone, and with the 3 frequencies to choose from (easily done on both receiver and transmitter) means I shouldn't have problems with other mics on the same locations.
