AppleCare Help Desk Support covers an unlimited number of support incidents for software installation, launch and use; hardware and software diagnosis and troubleshooting; and issue isolation for Apple-based solutions. Products covered include Apple hardware (1), the Mac operating system, and most Apple tools and applications including Aperture, Apple Remote Desktop, Final Cut Express, Final Cut Studio, iLife, iWork, Logic Express, Logic Pro, QuickTime Pro and Shake (2). The support plan also provides graphical user interface-level assistance with Mac OS X Server network configuration and server administration.

Every AppleCare Help Desk Support plan includes a copy of AppleCare Help Desk Tools (3), a library of Mac OS installation and hardware diagnostic discs that is updated quarterly. This comprehensive kit includes the tools you need to reinstall the operating system and troubleshoot hardware problems — Apple’s own technical support staff uses the same tools. In addition, AppleCare Help Desk Tools grants you access to Apple’s professional online support resources, including private and monitored discussion boards, Apple’s extended Knowledge Base, and a dedicated Web site for online updates of the latest tools and software patches.

Also included with AppleCare Help Desk Tools is AppleCare Technician Training, the only Apple-developed, Apple-approved online service certification training available. AppleCare Technician Training provides all the information needed to prepare for the Apple Service Certification exams for desktop and portable systems. This easy-to-use, self-paced programme includes training materials and extensive information from Apple’s own technical library. Most importantly, the Macintosh service training curriculum was developed by the people who know Apple systems best.

Whether your business or educational institution supports Mac OS X desktop systems or integrates professional video solutions across a network, you’ll find AppleCare Help Desk Support the ideal technical support solution for you and your organisation.

(1) Hardware repairs that are not covered under warranty require an extended service contract, such as AppleCare Premium Service and Support Plan.

(2) Details on support coverage and eligible Apple technologies are described in the AppleCare Help Desk Support Service Plan.

(3) AppleCare Help Desk Tools is subject to separate Terms and Conditions.
