Hosa are a very prominant optical cable manufacturer at present, most high quality optical cables from any supplier will carry their brand. I cannot deny that I have been able to acheive good quality signal paths and lengths using HOSA cables however they do have a fundamental drawback. Whilst fine for a system that essential stays static and will see little or no contact with the cable ends these are great if a little over priced cables however after using Hosa cables on recent UK Theatre tour I discovered there fundamental weakness. Housed in shiny metal to protect the cable housing they have neglated to upgrade the connector itself and given even the mildest bit of torment they will happily break off inside your tosLink port. Considering the price HOSA should think about upgrading the connector itself to a more rugged metal variety. Very dissapointing given the price!
