The Rode "Dead Cat", is not dead, but very much the opposite. This item brings all video recordings to life, whether it be a DVD you are producing, or just a home video. It enhances sound quality which overall produces a better video to leave people standing in amazement. So overall the rode dead cat is a great buy and worth evry penny, I strongly reccomend it. A*
