The TASCAM CD-SP1 is the perfect match for the CD-GT1, CD-BT1 and CD-VT1 CD trainers. It's also an ideal case and monitor system for the PocketStudio 5 recorder. It functions as a case for the CD trainers – with spaces for the player, power supply and 24 CDs – and even has a pair of speakers so you can take your music anywhere.
Using a standard 1/8" mini jack input, you can monitor any line level source through the CD-SP1. It runs on three AA batteries and plays through thin yet powerful NXT speakers. This approach improves on the traditional woofer and tweeter design by eliminating the phase cancellation that occurs when using multiple drivers and crossovers. NXT technology drivers provide wider dispersion, more uniform loudness and reduced room interaction than competing technologies. A single NXT driver covers a wider range than traditional drivers, reducing the phase distortion caused by using multiple drivers and crossovers.
