Simply hook up your VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, DV/D8 camcorder / VCR or DVD player and capture movies straight to your Mac - full-screen at 30 frames per second! Of course Formac studio supports all major movie formats such as 4:3, 16:10, 16:9 and 2.35:1

The Studio is a video producer’s dream come true, with digital/analogue, digital/digital, and hardware MJPEG conversion all in one unit and at FireWire bandwidths.

Composite-IN/OUT, S-VHS-IN/OUT and CA-IN/OUT connections can handle digital camcorders and VHS or S-VHS cameras. You can digitize your tapes, edit them on your Mac with iMovie, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, then compile them in QuickTime for the Web, or export them back to VHS tape in analogue format.

The FireWire standard gives you high bandwidth data transfer rates – ten times those of USB – for full 30 frames-per-second display at full screen resolution: professional video/TV quality. With a power plug for an external camera and an on-board speaker for convenience, this multi-purpose FireWire device will open up the opportunities of desk video production as never before.

The product does not facilitate an external TV monitor or audio only transfers.

Now ships with our new TVR Software for viewing TV on your Mac and Audiomaster software for importing Audio directly into the Mac.

NEW Software: STUDIO TVR :  With the Studio TVR we now include the TVR Software which boasts the following fantastic features:

• Full iMovie 3 Support. Change TV channel and capture directly into iMovie 3 in DV format
• Capture TV as a DV or QuickTime file from within the TVR Software
• Pause Live TV, and then watch it from where you left off.
• Add Channel Logos to each channel for easy selection
• Schedule your TV recording, TVR SCHEDULER allows you to set up dates and times to record as many programs as you have disc space for, The TVR Scheduler will even wake your Mac from Sleep, record your scheduled programme and then put the Mac to sleep again.
• Once captured the software allows you to crop the recording, inserting START and END markers to the footage and saving it as a trimmed file.
