i Bought the garibaldi snare about a year ago .. I love his snare sound and i wanted to recreate it in my own set-up. The things i did'nt want to do was buy a snare drum that was'nt versatile and pliable to different settings. But this is where this snare is unique .. its looks almost like a piccolo and on the tower of power records it sounds tight and clean. But in a studio environment it shines at close mic, and shimmers in overheads .. In live situations it can be tuned to cut through or tuned to thud and drive .. I would never part with mine ..
