Loud, brassy and up-front, the Buxom Blonde is a 100-watt tube head with a big personality. Two channel all valve head/EL34, Made in England. Pure vintage, classic British tone!
Transformer guru John Page was persuaded out of retirement to create a very special transformer for the BB, exhibiting excellent high frequency performance, rich harmonic content and bountiful low-end response. Six enormous smoothing capacitors ensure ripple free power delivery and a classic configuration of three 12AX7 preamp tubes with four Pentode/Triode switchable EL34s in the output stage delivers an unashamedly British sound.
Each output tube is individually fused with the bias adjustable by the user via rotary controls on the back panel in conjunction with the VU meter set to 'audio'. Performance flexibility is provided by footswitching between two gain settings, with everything from gloriously glassy clean sounds through to powerful, restrained and clearly articulated overdrive tones instantly available.
Front panel controls encompass high and low gain, bass, middle, treble, presence, gain and high and low masters. Back panel facilities include effects send and return sockets, 4/8/16 Ohm impedance switching, speaker outputs and a mains voltage selector.
