The new Roth MC4 hybrid-tube amplifier is designed to add sonic sparkle and quality to Apple's iPod and other MP3 players, and you
can also plug a CD player and your computer's audio into the stylish unit. There's a special iPod dock on the top of the amplifier for Apple's world-beater, a 3.5mm socket round the back for portable audio or laptop devices, and a pair of RIAA sockets for CD outputs.
So regardless of whatever source unit you use, the MC4 will be able to handle it, which immediately makes it more useful than a simple
docking device for an iPod.
