Equally impressive in sound and visual beauty, words fall short of capturing the magnificence of this prized 12-string Jumbo. The PS55 features premium Brazilian rosewood, Engelmann spruce, and the “Byzantine” fingerboard inlay in abalone. It is a 12-string beyond compare.
The marriage of Brazilian rosewood and premium Engelmann spruce yields superb tonal clarity, with deep, rich bass, commanding projection, and wonderfully complex overtones.
The Jumbo delivers the extra-deep resonance and volume that come with a larger sound chamber together with its own signature subtleties. Revoicing has sharpened its tonal difference from the Dreadnought. With a huge presence, the Jumbo is perfectly suited for aggressive strumming.
The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes. Available in natural finish or with an optional Tobacco or Honey Sunburst top (with natural back and sides).
