Designed to sound and perform like classical guitars, the Grand Concert and Grand Auditorium Nylon Series models come with slender and comfortable 1-7/8 inch necks. The result is a nylon string guitar sound with the familiar feel of a Taylor steel-string acoustic guitar. Onboard electronics and a selection of solid tonewoods enable you to instantly expand your tonal and aesthetic repertoire. Our top-of-the-line nylon-string Grand Concert boasts the magical tonewood combination of Indian rosewood complemented by a Western Red cedar top.

The most traditionally “classical” sounding of our nylon-string models, the NS72ce possesses a rich bass response, complex harmonics, and long sustain.

The Grand Concert is the quintessential small-bodied guitar. Its comfortable shape and deep, 4 5/8-inch body deliver clarity and a balanced response for an unforgettable player experience. Scaled-down proportions make the Grand Concert a comfortable and intimate nylon string guitar.

Featuring a side-mounted control unit, this system combines a Fishman Matrix transducer with a miniature electret-condenser microphone on the inside of the guitar body (mounted on the underside of the control unit). There’s also a small Trim Control that adjusts the volume of the microphone. Shelving-style Bass, Treble, and a semi-parametric Contour EQ enable tone-shaping, while a Phase switch and adjustable Notch filter help eliminate feedback.

The finish used to create this guitar’s lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes. Available in natural finish.
