A personal favorite of Bob Taylor, walnut produces a tone that is among the best a Taylor acoustic guitar offers. Like Hawaiian koa however, their supply of walnut remains scarce. A walnut top, back, and sides provide the stunning frame for this Jumbo 12-string. The balanced tone and dramatic figure continue to make walnut a favorite guitar among those lucky enough to own one.

The walnut is a like the best of both mahogany and rosewood. Its rich and complex tone has the colour and fullness of rosewood and the "snappiness" of mahogany. Players often think that the walnut seems to have a better response than rosewood, similar to maple. All in all, it offers a truly unique sound, suitable for all styles.
