The big one. The 500-pound gorilla of flattop steel-strings. Indian rosewood for richness and projection, Sitka spruce for snap and zing, and a Jumbo body to carry it all. There’s no sound in the world like that of a 12-string, and a Sitka spruce soundboard is perfect for handling the wide-ranging dynamics of a jingle-jangle performance. Rosewood’s velvety richness, forceful projection, and tonal complexity add another dimension to the 12-string’s unique character.
The Jumbo delivers the extra-deep resonance and volume that come with a larger sound chamber together with its own signature subtleties. Revoicing has sharpened its tonal difference from the Dreadnought. With a huge presence, the Jumbo is perfectly suited for aggressive strumming.
The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes. Available in natural finish or with an optional Tobacco or Honey Sunburst top (with natural back and sides).
