The iBox 8-MPA shares the stunning, sculpted look of the latest generation Soundscape units: Soundscape 32, Soundscape 16, Apogee I/O 896 and other new iBox models. And, just as you would expect from Sydec Audio Engineering, it combines superlative sonic quality with the legendary Soundscape build quality.

The iBox 8-MPA is the ideal companion for an iBox 64-MADI-TA, iBox 48-TA, iBox 64-MADI-SA, iBox 48-SA, iBox 64-MADI-AA or iBox 48-AA in situations where multiple high-quality microphone preamps are required. It can be connected to these iBoxes via the sub-D connectors using a single multicore cable, while the main iBox is connected to a Mixpander via its Expansion Bus connector (Mixpander Power Pak), to a Mixtreme, Mixtreme 192, Soundscape 32 or compatible DAW via TDIF, to a Madixtreme via MADI or to any other compatible device.

The primary design goal of the iBox 8-MPA was to offer a level of sonic performance comparable to that of any exotic high-end microphone preamp and convenient remote controlled operation within a computer environment at a competitive price.

However, the appeal of the iBox 8-MPA is not limited to Soundscape users. The TRS jack line level outputs provide easy connectivity with mainstream analog audio equipment, and the front panel controls allow it to be used without a computer.
