Does exactly what you'd think it does. Also folds flat (the upstand falls forwards to the floor). Having your guitars this accessible makes it much easier to use them - obvious, but I now use virtually all my instruments every week or so - before I would have phases with just one guitar being used. It makes you appreciate the differences between them all and remember why you bought each one. Nicely padded and holds the instruments securely. I have Bass, Guitar and Acoustic all on the same stand with no space issues - the Bass headstock clashes with the wall unless you move the whole rack into the room a bit. Worth it for not having to put your guitars away after each time you want to pick one up.
