These speaker stands are good value and do the job. They're not too heavy but are sturdy for PA speakers. Dolphin's service was brillinat as usual, couldn't be better, keep up the good work guys and girls!

The stands are very sturdy and easily prop up my PA speakers. However I have had 2 problems with them
1. the part that you can see on the very top of the stand has come off and is lodged in one of the speakers
2. inside the upper clamp there is a piece of moulded plastic that holds the stand firmly in place. When the stands were last packed up, this fell out and has been lost. So beware - this part is not attached. At the moment I'm using a small piece of wood in its place, but it's not very effective; i'm currently surfing the net to see if i can get a replacement part.

I wanted to construct a small pubic address system that would be flexible enough to use for public meetings, small gigs & outdoor events. I picked these particular speaker stands because I only wanted to elevate the speakers to average head height (around 2m) & the price is very good.
They are of robust construction and do what they are supposed to do without fuss.
When I duplicate the system I will get the same stands again.

Only rating this 8 out of 10 as I haven't tried any other speaker stand. However I don't feel I need to.

These prop up my 15" Alesis Provenue's no problem. Very stable, and I generally set them at around the 5 foot mark so that the horns are at ear level. Rock solid.

I can't vouch for the lightweight part of their name, as to me they seem a bit heavy for what they are, but I suppose they have to prop up a fair amount of weight safely so I can't complain.

Good sturdy stands at a completely silly price. Only £6 postage too!

Won't bother trying any other speaker stands if I get another set of speakers. I'd definately go for another set of these.
