Subwoofers

If you really like bass you need a subwoofer so you can actually hear what bass you are creating. With small speakers you are NOT going to hear the full bass tone and you won't know if you hit a low C or a C#. But the people with subs will know. However, be advised to keep your subwoofer at a very low level when mixing, because you run a risk of creating a bass-shy mix.
