The Tour Custom is an All Maple Shell made using Yamaha’s famous Air Seal System and Diagonal Seems producing a shell that is strong, 100% round and built to last. These shells are finished with a 60 degree bearing edge which has a rounded profile so that there is more shell to head contact for clarity in the low end fundamental and added warmth. These shells are then finished in 4 beautiful High gloss Lacquer finishes, three translucent and one solid finish. The Brown Sunburst, Ocean Blue and Sakura White allow the beauty of the maple grain show through. The black Onyx is a deep, rich, solid Black finish. The Maple Shell has a warm deep tone, the Bass Drum is 7 Ply and the Toms are 6 Ply with lots of warmth and resonance and have a wide tuning range. The matching 14” x 6” wooden snare has body, yet plenty of High end and is very articulate at all dynamic levels.

Tour Custom Drums are available in Universal sizing making them versatile for any musical situation and are available either as a shell only kit, with 800 series hardware  or as separately for additional toms or indeed for custom set ups.
