Novation Launch Heritage Documentary & Competition

Novation is celebrating the start of 2014 with something very special.The company that brought us the Supernova II, K Station, Bass Station and the Ultranova launched a very special documentary today and the following short film tells the story of the company from its humble beginnings, to the worldwide enterprise its become today.

The short documentary features Novation co-founder Ian Jannoway, synthesizer designer Chris Huggett and Alt-J, Sneaker Pimps and Lana Del Ray producer Liam Howe, amongst others.

As a thank you to customers, the masters of electronics have also put together an 800MB sample pack which is now available for free download. The sample pack is only available for 1 month and features loops, single hits, multi sampled patches, and drum kits from its unforgettable collection of modern classic synths.

Novation is launching a month long competition to create a track using the free sample pack and an all-star judging panel including Paul Hartnoll (Orbital), Liam Howe (Lana Del Ray, Sneaker Pimps), Eats Everything, and Timo Maas will be judging entries. The competition runs from 4th of February 2014 to 4th of March 2014 after which judges will select three winners to choose an Ultranova, Mininova or Bass Station II as their prize.
