For some of us, hearing a badly tuned guitar can be just as horrific as nails down a blackboard. Learning to tune your instrument correctly is a major part of instrumental training, and not just for guitars or stringed instruments. Brass, woodwind, percussion instruments and even pianos all need to be tuned too, perhaps not as often as their stringed comrades but, nonetheless, tuning is extremely important.
