Nate Mendel first introduced his skills to the world when he played with punk band Diddly Squat and a number of other punk bands. He joined the Foo Fighters alongside the former drummer of Nirvana, Dave Grohl in 1995 and together the band have released a whopping seven studio albums and one live record.

Mendel, being an Ashdown artist has been given the honour of a signature bass pedal. The Ashdown Nate Mendel Stacked Actor Pedal (NM-SA) is a 'stacked distortion' signature pedal with two separately controllable distortions, each can be ran into separate outputs for further control.

This means, that just like Nate, you can run one side of the pedal almost constantly through one amp & cabinet, then kick in with more grit into a separate amp and cab to get a bigger stage sound.

… And for those of you who don’t have two amps, a handy switch on the Stacked Actor pedal allows you to run both sides into one amp.
