"Whoo-hoo!" Graham Coxon Signature Telecaster in stock now
The Blur star and Britpop luminary finally gets the stamp of approval as one of the most influential guitarists of his generation, with a European-exlusive signature version of his musical weapon of choice - the Fender Telecaster. Buy now for £546.
Even at Blur's poppiest Coxon had a distinctive sound, such as the off-kilter solo in UK number one single "Country House". And he bought fuzzed-up riffage to daytime radio, adverts and computer games everywhere with "Song 2". So it's only right that he represents British guitarists in the Fender hall of fame alongside his 90's alt-rock contemporaries from across the pond like Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan.
Coxon's been using Tele's live and in the studio for years, so he knew exactly what this guitar needed to make it geat. In a 2006 interview with Fender themselves, he explained why he loves Telecasters:
"It’s a great guitar for abuse because it’s so tough. You can do anything with a Telecaster. You’re never really afraid. You’ll be afraid more for your hands than for the instrument. You can go for this kind of 'British' sound, or it can be this beautiful, clean country sound. You can really do anything on a Tele".
Full specs for the blonde-finish guitar are on our product page. It comes with a deluxe gigbag, and is in stock now at £546.
