Apple’s latest round of laptops offers more speed and better performance than ever—perfect for computer-based musicians, DJs and producers. We’re pleased to announce that all M-Audio® hardware and software releases are officially qualified for use with the recently updated MacBook and MacBook Pro laptop computers.

USB Series

Apple’s new MacBook and MacBook Air laptops don’t include FireWire connectivity—the latest models are all about USB 2.0. If you want to make music with a MacBook, M-Audio provides a full range of USB audio products including the Fast Track® Ultra and Fast Track Ultra 8R high-speed USB 2.0 interfaces.

FireWire Series

All M-Audio FireWire interfaces are fully compatible with the FireWire 800 port on the new MacBook Pro laptops. All you need is a 6-pin–to–9-pin FireWire cable and you’re ready to go. For more information, check out this FireWire 800 knowledge base post.

Software Products

All M-Audio software releases, including Torq® DJ software, are fully compatible with the latest Apple laptops.

Note: The new Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops are not yet qualified for use with Digidesign® Pro Tools® M-Powered™ software. Please check the M-Audio knowledge base for future updates.
