Works amazingly with my Fender Acoustic but it was a mess ataching it to my guitar as there wasnt any instructions on hoe to put it on
Very pleased with this. It works well on my Yamaha FG312 (12-string).
I thought to try it also on my Crafter DLX-3000, but the Solid top is thicker than the Guitar Tech will fit onto (it is 3.5mm thick).
The adjustment on the height of the pickup is quite limited, but just about sufficient.
The front connection makes it easy for occasssional use.
This is one of the easiest pick ups I have ever used on a 12 string guitar. I used it on my Tanglewood 12 String. It is a near perfect fit with only a small amount of adjustment needed on the height adjustment on the pickup. this was easily done with the allen key provided. It slips under the strings easily. The volume adjustment psrt is a little tricky, but I was up and running in about twenty minutes.Brilliant.
A watch out really, it doesnt fit where it should on a Yamaha FG700S. So have to say, although I havent actually tried it, it does seem to be a well made bit of kit.
Bought this today from my local dealer, it was the cheapest one without me having to drill a hole in my guitar!
Easy to install, it has like springloaded ball bearings and slits which keep the pickup in place whilst playing. Two controls, tone and volume, very simple but it\'s better than nothing. The lead from the pickup to the amp is VERY short so I had to buy an adapter, turning the small jack into one that you can plug a standard guitar lead into for at extra £3. Works like a charm and very very nice if you don\'t want to damage your acoustic guitar. Easy to install you don\'t have to loosen or take off the strings but it can be fiddly.
I don\'t like the fact the guitar lead goes down the front of the guitar but I guess it\'s better than drilling your guitar through!
All in all, nice and simple. For someone who wants to hassle like me!
I bought this pickup as cheap alternative to having to buy a new guitar with a pickup built in or a more expensive pickup. At only £15 I thought I couldn\'t go wrong how right I was.
This really is a quality, hastle free little beauty. Takes no effort to slip on and hook up and the sound quality is really good for the price. The adjustable pickup is a real added bonus.
Bought this on a bit of a whim! and am really impressed! - i was going to spend loads of money on a fishman pickup etc - Whilst browsing dolphin i came across this... i searched online to attempt to get a soundclip of the D8.. but to no avail... so i thought, £15 isnt much - so i took the plunge and bought it!
for £15 quid you cant go wrong with this little pickup - easy to fit, no holes in your guitar, and you can remove and refit as when required.. sounds fantastic through my amp - only a little peavey - more to the point when used with my pod2, it sounds even more fantastic!
For £15 quid - you cant go wrong! - just email me if you want to hear some soundclip :o)
Excellent price, excellent quality.
It fits neatly on the guitar without the need of tools, and has an allen key to adjust the height of the pickup.
Does recieve a bit of feedback if to close to the amp. (The short lead doesn't help!)
I would reccomend this though.
