The DGT is the result of more than 20 years of collaboration between Paul Smith and David Grissom. The DGT is based on the McCarty Trem with special pickups, special wiring, a DGT neck shape, bigger frets and heavy gauge strings that permit beautiful rhythm and solo tone.
Starting out as a small boutique in Annapolis Paul Reed Smith set out to make extraordinary guitars, almost imbued with a little magic. With PRS being used by the likes of Santana, Dave Navarro & Gary Grainger it's fair to say he succeeded. This guitar is a truly exceptional example of the luthier's craft.
