Vintage TC200 Black Reviews
Just bought one of these as my first guitar and am generally impressed. As a first instrument, at this price you can't really go wrong. Build quality is solid, hardware is decent and unlike most of the tele' copies in this price range it is strung through the body. The combination of which means that tone and sustain are both very good.
Finish was not excellent, but was adequate. Some rough fret edges and a lack of attention to detail around the neck/body join and the pickguard being the problem areas. These issues can be easily and inexpensively fixed should you wish.
Factory setup was also adequate but not great. Some buzzing was present on the bottom strings, but a little time spend adjusting the bridge (a simple task using the hex key provided) and the action and intonation are now spot on.
The guitar is great to play, I find the action low and the neck fast, so it is very easy to play (something I'm very grateful for as a beginner!). It sounds great, a pretty good recreation of a tele' sound, as you might expect.
Overall a great guitar for the price. If you are looking for a first guitar or a cheap additional instrument in the telecaster style that you can thrash but will hold it's own in terms of sound quality I would not hesitate in recommending the TC200. I would certainly consider their other products in the future.
