I have bought an Evolution MK-36 1C keyboard from the internet. Unfortunately the keyboard did not have a manual. I thought I could get some help from the internet in particular from the manufacturers own website. How wrong I was! There are absolutely no help, no links, no explanation, no tutorials to show how things work and how to use the keyboard. I am very new to playing any instrument including a keyboard. As any novice user I need to know what the buttons on the keyboard do, how to tune the keyboard etc so that I can progress and learn to play but this seems not possible. It is as if the keyboard is not made for the novice users. I am rather frustrated that every one are trying to sell this keyboard yet there are hardly any help to understand what this keyboard actually do and how to use the keyboard!

On my return to the music scene I needed a keyboard that would keep up with the amount of playing that I'd do on it. I'd had an evolution in the past, (MK149)which was looking a feeling a bit worse for wear...So I looked at various makes and models and stumbled across the eKeys 49... For what I use it for, the keyboard is perfect, frees up my midi ports as it connects via USB, got more controls than I actually need or will ever use, was as simple as 'Connect and Go'...Plug and play at its best. No complaints from me at all...The keys are nicely weighted, the wife likes it because the colour matches everything else...Women eh...and the respose is great.. Congrats on a cool keyboard at a really good price.

Great keyboard at an excellent price. Unweighted keys perfect for organ or keyboard players. Works great on Linux using JACK or ALSA and related software (eg. Rosegarden).

Just bought the Evolution Ekeys 49, As I have signed up on a sequencing and sampling course using Reason, I thought I better get a controller for home use this will get me into my dream of creating music. Though I wish I had Reason as we do use it on our course.

So far I have had only bad experience with this unit. I keep getting stuck notes, non-playing notes, and midi errors (across all applications). Whether it's this unit I can't guarantee, but there shouldn't be any reason why it doesn't work.
