I feel compelled to respond to the review I have seen regarding DSP- Quattro and ask several questions at the same time as can see no real substance in the review and must question the statements made. Sonic8 is responsible for i3\'s DSP-Quattro in the UK and have had no problems with this product to date . We invite the reviewer to contact our support line at Sonic8 and provide their serial number and hardware, software set up so we attempt to help them as we have not heard at all from anyone with a problem since we started doing this product. Sonic8 have support specialists to run through problems 5 days a week and it might turn out it is a system problem or set up, it might even be user error. Personally I have been using DSP-Quattro with a MAC G4 powerbook now for 10 months and it has worked every time and never crashed. We have several other set ups on various macs which also all work fine. I have used it as a host to multiple plugins & effects (VST & AU), used it for editing and mastering and be be honest used most of the facilities it has to offer without a problem. I know of multiple people using the software both in the educational sectors and home/professional areas and had no complaints so far. I have demonstrated this product to over 50 dealers around the country, perhaps 200 people in the country without a single failure. The editing and ability to find loop points for example is effortless. The BMP detection is accurate and the pitch shifting, frequency shifting and time strectching all work well. Did the reviewer buy this as a boxed version or download something and again invite them to contact Sonic8. I would not be surprised after reading the first review to be put off but question at the same time why then it would win so many awards from people such as Electronic Musician 2005 Editors choice, and invite others to try and find out for themselves why it is really so good and easy to use, why it has won so many awards and has so many happy users. I just wanted to say that DSP-Quattro is total vaporware. Buggy, completely unstable. I cannot believe that someone would have the audacity to sell such an untested peice of crap as a professional tool. I wasted plenty of time trying to get this pathetic software to do even simple edits without freezing up. FYI I have been using Macs to edit audio since the 1980s. This is the worst software I have ever been fooled into buying.
