I purchased a pocketrax CX to record from the line-in source. However I found that the record level only works with the microphone and not the line-in. The Line-in is a fixed level and hence my recordings were very distorted. I had to return the device as EURNot fit for purposeEUR. I canEURt believe Yamaha overlooked this.

I have since purchased a Tascam DV-07 which does allow you to adjust the recording level on the line-in input. I also find the Tascam menu system easier to use. The Tascam is a slightly larger unit which I think is positive as it makes it easier to use and the display easier to read.

nice guitar. well made and arrived the very next day... so 10 stars.
this is the second time I have been asked to review it so I will. I wanted to change the strings so that it can be tuned like a conventional guitar rather than like a guitar at the 5th fret. I asked the good people at Dolphin if they had or could obtain a set of suitable strings. they said they would get back to me but didn\'t........ which is unfortunate. I also recieved the stunning advice of \"use ordinary strings, but cut them shorter \" ????. Anyway, I have found some LaBella FG114 strings from Germany and it sounds great.
I needed a portable and lightweight piano for use in a church, mainly to play worship songs written for piano. The 76 key Yamaha was the perfect choice for our needs as the lack of the additional bass notes is not required. I was impressed by how light the piano is to carry and move(which we do a lot of) and of the sounds available. limited but very good quality. One added bonus was the fact the piano will run very happily on 6 AA batteries.. useful, if like me, you forgot to order a power supply!
I have recently returned to guitars - carpal tunnel syndrome put an end to my playing a while ago - but I have since had successful operations and regretted having sold my old guitars...including a lovely 1965 Hofner Verithin. I bought a Line 6 Variax 700 - and have been very pleased with it but now decided I wanted something acoustic and smaller to pick up an play without necessarily plugging it in.

I chose the Yamaha APX 500 having done some research on youtube - partly for its playing qualities but also for the fact it looks good. I got a blue one to match my eyes and the lounge. I wasn\'t disappointed - kept out on a stand it does look good just as a piece of furniture.

It plays well out of the box - I found the action a bit heavier than the Line 6 - but of course it is a an acoustic and has heavier gauge strings. You could fit lighter strings if you wanted. Being rather a small guitar the unplugged sound wouldn\'t fill a large space - but for home practice it\'s great. Plugged in - it sounds even better - bright sounding and clear with sharp intonation and dynamics.. The cut away shape allows easy access to the top end of the fretboard - and the guitar falls nicely to hand. It has a three channel EQ system and a tuner which is handy.

Quality of finish is very good - some reviews I read were snobbish about the choice of woods - the back and neck are \"Nato\" which is a cheaper sustainable hardwood somewhere from the East - but that is reflected in the price of the guitar. If you want more exotic woods then you have to pay a lot more. The soundboard is spruce and the fret board rosewood with abalone inserts. White stringing round the body of the guitar is stylish and provides protection. Some people don\'t like coloured guitars.

If you want a good looking semi acoustic with a bright sound that is reasonably priced then I think you could do much worse than this guitar.

My guitar teacher likes it too.
These are my first pair of monitors, and i couldn\'t be happier. I record and listen to anything from classical piano to quite bass heavy rock.

The clarity of the sound is quite excellent, and the room control switches are very useful (and come with a big booklet describing in very simple terms how to use them).

Every review on the planet explains how these give a great reference, and if they sound good on here, will sound good anywhere, and after a few hours listening, i can see why. Poor quality mixes and bit-rates are exposed incredibly- quite upsetting in a way.

I\'d get these, but read a lot of reviews first just so that you get the feel of what these speakers are about; particularly the bits about how the NS10s became so popular (these were built to better the ns10s...if you can)
The Yamaha MM6 review.

I have only had mine for a few weeks and to start with I didn\'t like the sound of it at all, except when it was playing the 3 demo songs which sounded great.

I found that the modulation wheel had a really negative effect on the pure instrument sounds and turned it down to zero and then by using the main voice also as the dual voice, this added a much better depth to the sound.

Later, after playing with the effects settings the MM6 has produced some wonderful sounds and I am very glad that I bought it.

Considering the price compared with the Motif Synths I consider the MM6 to be a very good first synth.

I just wish I could find more time to use it!
I took the nylons off, lowered the bridge insert, and put on martin light steels. Its fantastic, sounds like a national guitar, all the resonance you could wish for. Lets you play anywhere and when you go back to full size it seems easier. good to sing to as g becomes d. i can\'t put mine down, its the best thing you can have for home or travelling.
These are superb. The thing that struck me aboutthem was the clarity and crispness of them when I first listened to them. I was going to buy some genelecs, but they sounded really muffled in comparison, and also checked out some fostex as well, and although pretty clear, they still lacked massivley compared these babies.

Now I\'ve got them at home, they\'ve really exposed the quality of the recording of alot of my music collection. Some of it sounds pants, but alot of it sounds even more fantastic, I can hear all the effects that have been applied really easily and the cymbals shimmering, picks catching the strings etc, they have blown my brains , and I\'m so glad I got them instead of the genelecs.

With my own music projects, again I can hear everything really well, and seeing as I was on a set of hi fi speakers before, they\'ve made a huge amount of difference, the biggest place so far being in the effects department because I can hear the tiniest amount of an effect I\'m applying.

These really are excellent value for money in my opinion, are humungously loud, but listen to them first and make your own mind up. They have a good rep for a reason, and I\'m saving the pennies to get the sub. That makes em even more amazing!!!
I originally bought the Yamaha Guitalele as a travel guitar and to use to teach large mixed guitar and Ukulele ensembles. I also have used it for Wider Opportunities whole class (Primary aged pupils) instrumental tuition for Ukuleles.
It works great as an acoustic instrument and in the Ukulele environment it gives extra volume and bass with the addition of strings 5 & 6. It has a sweet tone and good natural projection. It generally plays like a classical guitar capo\\\'d at the fifth fret.
Its only downside is that it takes some turning up(pre-amping) to get the volume out of the pick up system when plugged in. I would recommend it to any one needing a Ukulele to teach with (providing 6 strings suits your needs)and as a travel guitar. It has good acoustic qualities and is well made.
I recently started learning to play and I wanted an entry level synth that would allow me the freedom of playing as well as straight forward and simple manipulation of the sounds provided. I was not disappointed! I love this machine so much and is perfect for any beginners like myself!

The only warning I have is that you need to buy speakers to hear the damn thing! I sat there for an hour trying to figure out why no sound would play, then dashed over to PC world to buy a speaker system (which now doubles up as my surround sound for TV yay).

You can use headphones though, you just need one of those converters that make the small jack...bigger :)

Great system! Great price! Fast and secure delivery. Brilliant!

		Hi

I have purchased this keyboard and am very disappointed as i believe that there is a substanial difference between a 16 track recorder as compared to a sequencer as Yamaha puts it . Also EQ 67-69 is said to be adjustable but really cannot . these are just few of the problems ive come acrossand will undoubdtely find much more as Yamaha confirmed that the EQ is unadjustable despite the manuals description . About the sequencer issue , they just wouldnt reply . Very bad product from a Manufacturer with the most poor if not non existant after sales service
I bought this a year ago as part of a P.A. system for a village fete. Doplinmusic gave unbiased advice and after a long phone call with them talking through what I needed and the ability to grow the mixer facility I went with their recommendation to buy this mixer. It does exactly what it should; has enough of the professional mixer facilities and is real value for money. Thank You Dolphinmusic.
I bought this for just over 400 at Xmas. Some excellent sounds and styles. Excellent speakers. Misleading with the mixer bit, however, you can change a lot of parameters but you can\'t change voices. Seems to have a minor bug initially recognising midi files on USB sticks. XG voices not as good as say a MU80. A fun keyboard but definitely not worth paying 600 for.
Lets get the cosmetic thing out of the way first. There is a point as which fancy woods and inlays stop being attractive and well presented and start to become a matter of ego embellishment. For me, this bass sits and that point. The configured maple top and headstock has just enough \\\"wow\\\" factor. On the other hand I\\\'m not so scared of damaging the finish that I won\\\'t take it to a jam night. Out of the box it looks a light pine colour but after 3 year mine has mellowed to a slightly richer shade so the contrast with the black hardware is less pronounced.

The shape of the thing is ..... functional. A slab of wood. There is some contouring at the top for you forearm but the nice sculpting of the TRB5 MK1 is long gone. other wise it is a double cuttaway body with a long to horn to balance it on the strap ( and it does balance well)

Construction? Well Yamaha are engineers to the core. They\\\'re not about to make something flimsy or rough or badly fitting so lets move on.

The satin finished neck is easy to glide along. Naturally it is wider than a 4 string but no thicker. The string spacing is a little narrower than my old precision. I can do a four fret (?) stretch at the deep end no problem. It just takes practice. For some reason they decided to factory fit roundwound strings. They sound nice but if you don\\\'t want to carve up your rosewood finger board I suggest that flats are the way to go. I fitted Rotosound Trubass to mine for a more \\\"upright\\\" sound. Usual mwah -yudeedoo slides are easy. Not that you HAVE to. You can rock and roll too if you have to. Slapping is not its forte when you have it action set for speed, but how many players slap a frettless 5 string? Mine was setup great right out of the box. It just doesn\\\'t have any vices.

Tone is the reason that you will want this. Its warm, rich and smooth. It is active but not over bearing. I have seen quite a few of the fretted variety in the RnB/soul fraternity. You might see them in places of worship too. I\\\'ve seen one in a rock band but I think that would be a rarity. The controls are as expected:- master volume, pickup pan and treble, middle, bass. The tone controls have a lot of range so pretty much ALL of your sounds will be onboard. I have read that turning up the treble results in hissy bass, but I haven\\\'t noticed. Certainly not like the old TRB5 MK1s. The electronics don\\\'t eat batteries like older models, which is good because it leads to this instruments\\\' only real flaw - the battery compartment. Its just slightly too small to fit rechargables (which tend to be a couple of mm larger.). Practical upshot is that the door bulges outward and doesn\\\'t shut with a satisfying click. digging the spent battery out is a chore too. Its a stupid fault. It doesn\\\'t matter in the scheam of things but its a niggle.

Overall though, I would say that this is a \\\"grown up\\\" instrument. Its attractive while not a fashion statement. Its not a \\\"name\\\" bass, but its from a respected maker. Its dependable rather than boring. Its a multi purpose instrument for musicians who let their playing speak for them.

P.S. the price has dropped through the floor - go get.

This was a present for my birthday from my wife and I was expecting something quite limited like the Pansonic digital dictaphone I had been used to using previously. This unit has more useful functions and a great frequency response- also you can switch off the ALC ( AGC) - the internal mics were pleasantly good and I will try it the next time with a pair of DPA\'s through a small Mackie - just to see how far the mic quality affects the performance.
I recorded our rehearsal and then without need to refer to a manual - was able to transfer the files into the Steinberg AI-4 which come bundled with it - called up the Mastering Template and off I went - The guys were pleasantly surprised that all their chatter was edited out and with judicious use of EQ and Compression the rehearsal came out sounding not half bad- unfortunately the unit does not cover up playing mistakes :o)
I can thoroughly recommend this little marvel as its simplicity in use combined with its flexibility - will certainly make it easier to identify areas which need improving in your sessions.

This is a nice sounding, easy to play and very affordable guitar. My cousin bought one of these and the first time I played it the sound was just so nice and round with enough bass and treble mix. I was so impressed by its sound and very low price I just had to go and buy one for myself! The action is really nice and low, much lower than my more expensive Takamine acoustic guitar but still gives the strings enough room to vibrate without hitting the frets at all. It is a pretty loud sounding guitar that is probably due to the deep body of it. I would definitely recommend this guitar to any beginners because it is really easy on the fingers, sounds really nice, stays in tune really well and isn\'t a huge amount of money so you really cant go wrong with buying one of these! I love it and use it for a lot or recording now instead of my old Takamine! I suppose the only thing I would like to see on it is a built in pick up so I can plug it in but for this price its understandable that they haven\'t fitted one.
The piano is such a beautiful piece of furniture and looks stunning in my lounge. It plays beautifully and all of my 4 children are having lessons. It\'s compact and neat and is so lovely to play. I am thrilled with this piano and most certainly the service provided by Dolphin music. I was contacted by telephone immediately and was kept updated regularly by phone and email. I absolutely love my new piano, Thank you Dolphin music.
It\'s impossible to rate this instruemnt, since there is really nothing out there to compare it with. Iwai san wanted to create an electronic instrument that has it\'s own identity, beaty and special qualities like a well built guitar for instance, and he has succeded. The choice of materials and all the details are very well thought out (magnesium instead of aluminium for instance, reflects light differently), and it does have a \'feel\' of a very beautiful thing. In it\'s limited numbers it is probably more hand built than any electric guitars sub 1.000.
If you\'re looking for a MIDI sound module and/or a simple sequencer for scetching out ideas within a mainstream pop/techno/trance idom only and don\'t care about the \'feel\' of it, you can probably get better value elsewhere. The Tenori-on does offer instant blip blop, and there\'s a growing numbers of YouTube videos to show just how boring that can be.
The limitations is a part of the feature set, and it\'s when you start to work up against them that interesting things will start to happen. You do need imagination to get the best of this instrument. Myself I have a classical music education where I chose to focus on 12-tone and other mathematical music. Rather surprisingly it has helped me a lot to get outside the otherwise nave / banal paths you can be hooked into so easily. Even if the 16 x 16 matrix instead of a keyboard helps freeing you from traditional thinking, it surley has its own clichs.
I think the tradeoffs are well thought out, generally. The soundset is limited with almost only short sounds. Mine runs on batteries for the 8th hour now, which I find great, and that wouldn\'t be possible with huge sounds. Things like that - very well thought out. This is not for everyone, and kudos to Yamaha to make it available to the general public at all.
The Tenori-on has been raved about on the internet, and it\'s been panned too. It can do a lot more than most step-sequencers, but it does have some limitations.

The voice set could be improved and the number of sample banks could be increased. And there are other things too numerous to mention.

That said, it can achieve a great deal all by itself, and as a musicians \'play tool\' it is unique.

Expect more tenori-on-like instruments in the future, when it will be come a future classic.

Cool, expensive, but worth it!
These are very good and accurate monitors! I like the tight and natural low end and clear highs. Good monitors are VERY important thing in audio work and for this money, i think that these monitors are very good investment! I drop one star because of Yamahas way to put Frequency response (-10dB) so a subwoofer is to be considered!
Well it appears I bought this at exactly the right time from Dolphin Music as I got it in the sales at 799 which is superb value for money. I was very impressed with the Yamaha YSS-475 mk2. Although it is meant to be an intermediate model, it is very well made and has superb intonation and keywork. I have been playing for years, long ago completing the student Grades system, so although I would class my ability as beyond intermediate I do not feel limited in any way with this instrument. I must admit the supplied Yamaha plastic mouthpiece is nowhere near as good as the solid silver Selmer mouthpiece I am using with it though, so I would recommend players upgrade to a better mouthpiece and ligature when funds allow. One thing I was very pleasantly surprised at was the depth and warmth of tone. My last soprano saxophone was an old Selmer which had to be sold when I lost my job. Although I will one day upgrade again once I have another 3k, I am very impressed with this Yamaha YSS-475 mk2 for the money - vastly better than what I was expecting. It sounds beautiful actually - very velvety and really easy to play. Thoroughly recommended. I\'d always heard that Yamaha\'s were thin and bright sounding despite having fantastic keywork, but it is a myth - the sound is very rich and velvety as well as having excellent keywork and intonation.
I paid 79 for my guitar, what I got is a well balanced, good looking guitar, with great playability.
The bits I\'m dissapointed by are; the tuners feel terrible (but hold tune well(even after giving the whammy bar extensive use)), the string tree is a bit \'minimalistic\', and the pick-ups \'could\' be a bit brighter in tone. All these bits can be upgraded reasonbly cheaply.
For 79 you get a guitar that\'s good looking, well balanced and therefore extremely playable, with the usual high build standard of Yamaha.
If you want to learn to play a six string, buy one. I can\'t put mine down for too long without wanting to pick it up again.
Thank you Dolphin, thank you Yamaha.
I have just taken over a department at a jnr school where a set of KPA3s have been bought recently for the set of 11 electric keyboards. Four of them have case work that has come loose, due to the screw at the bottom going through the plastic rendering them highly dangerous yet still functioning. This is a serious health hazard and needs to be addressed promptly.
Honestly, a tenor trombone doesn\'t get much better than this. With a Bach 6 1/2 AL mouthpiece, I can get an incredibly bright colorful tone, a Yamaha 48 mouthpiece gives it an even dynamic tone, and with a 48 A, it sounds like a bore twice its size! Plus, with the 3 interchangeable leadpipes, you can tweak each of these sounds into anything you want. Perfect jazz trombone. I challenge you to find a better one. Seriously.
Let me tell ya, there\'s nothing like opening your Christmas presents and finding a new YCL-221II Bass Clarinet hidden amongst the sweaters and trinkets. I say hidden because the YCL-221II case is even smaller than an alto sax, because Yamaha designed the YCL-221II to come apart... and easily too. The tendon joint is corked with an o-ring for a tight seal while the bell joint has two o-rings. While I never saw one built like this before, much to my surprize the BC goes together quickly and easily everytime. After putting her together - I took a moment to admire the brillant shine on the nickel keys and bell. Very durable and pretty. The keys are solid. No springy-ness at all. Yamaha redesigned this BC a couple years ago, (I read somewhere...) and everything feels just right! Yamaha thoughtfully has also redesigned the neck angle so that finding your perfect emboucher is so easy. The neck angle and the beautiful matte black finish and sparkling nickel keys make this BC stand out and commands attention. It looks like a more expensive model, so nobody leak the price, okay? The tone is warm and full through-out the entire range. Unlike my last BC, all the notes from the top to the bottom blow freely and easily. I never knew how high you could go it the altisimo register until I got this beauty. I would surely recommend this to any begineer or intermediate player. You will not be dissapointed.
I bought this mixer because i needed an all in one solution and because of the acclaim it recieved in the reviews i read. I really like this mixing desk and have not been disappointed so far. Its takes a bit of getting to understand but its not overly complicated. Manual is ok and the copy of Cubase AI you get with it does pretty much all you need unless you want surround sound then you have to have Cubase 4 or a DAW (digital Audio workstation) that supports surround sound. I think the sound quality is excellent and its seems what you put in (in terms of audio signal)is what you get out. The built in reverb is ok and the built in compressors are very useful. The pro\'s are you dont even need a sound card in your computer. You only have to connect to the computer via firewire, not loads of audio leads or a break out box. It works excellently with cubase 4 AI and i assume Cubase 4. I havnt tried it with any other DAW like pro tools or logic. But once you set it up correctly under those DAW\'s i think it would be fine. I run a 2GHz core duo with 2 gig of ram with a pair of alesis m1 active mk2 monitors and i havent experience any lantancy issues although i havnt really pushed it in terms of using lots of VST effects etc. I think the build quality is good. The only small gripe i would have with it is that it doesnt have any XLR outputs which would have been useful especailly if you were taking it out for live use. I havent used all its features yet, but I am very happy with it thus far especailly as its now over 100 more expensive than when I bought it 3 months ago. Make sure you do all the updates, when i first got it the cycle or loop button on the transport controls on the N12 wouldnt seem to stay on when pressed on the N12 after the updates were done this was sorted. I have found that a couple of times the N12 doesnt seem to work properly when you first boot it to cubase (but probably me not giving it enough time) but just reboot cubase and/or turn the N12 off then on again and everything is fine. It hasnt crashed on me once (touch wood) once its all booted up correctly and ive started working. So i would say stability is very good. Im not an expert on mixers or Cubase or recording for that matter but it seems i am not alone in praising this mixer. I hope this review has helped.
i have used a number of different multitrack recorders to date but this yamaha AW1600 has got to be the best one i have come across so far.
its easy to use and follow the on screen parts. i have used this multitrack recorder for personal album recording and for school coursework and it has never let me down.
the sound quality of the recording through this when you use good mics is good for the price you pay.
after recording the effects and the mix down options avaliable are really good , giving you a wide range of thins you can do to your recordings.
i would recomned this for anyone looking to do recording as it is defo worth its money.

yamaha have always been good and they keep getting better.

if it ever broke id defo buy this again and again cause you cant go wrong.
I bought this guitar just over 6 months ago when the price was only 179 and thought it was a real bargain. I had played other APX and CPX models but i thought this was the best. Has a very crisp and clean tone when played acoustically and when plugged into a decent amp is even better. I bought the natural look as it appealed to me most and it arrived when the delivery note said. Came packaged exteremly well and without harm to the guitar. The on board tuner is very useful as you don\'t have to worry about having one on you at all times. I would recommend this to anybody who wants a great guitar at an affordable price.
Some time ago I bought a copy Telecaster on the UK\'s best known auction site. All I will say is this was an unmitigated disaster!
I,m working my way through Justin Sandercoe\'s on line lessons and he reccomended Dolphin as an honest company and the Yamaha Pacifica guitar. The Pacifica was a bit out of my budget but Paul at Dolphin suggested the EG112 as being very similar spec at less than half the price so I ordered one. The guitar arrived in a couple of days very well packed and I have to say I,m astonished and delighted with it. The build quality is superb, the neck,a dream especially for someone like me with smallish hands. My advice to fellow novices...... Do NOT buy a cheepo copy. It will break your spirit and probably you fingernails!! I can unreservedley reccomend tis guitar. Why not take a look at Justin\'s site justinguitar.com.

Best wishes,
Steve
To be honest, I was stunned at the amount of support the L-7S produced. You could bash out scores of bars at FF and the keyboard wouldn\'t move an inch!

Strong, good looking, and it comes packed in a small box for easy storage. A word to the wise tho. Remember how it came out of the box, because that\'s the only way it\'ll ever go back!

That, combined with the slightly confusing assembly instructions, make sure you have an hour to assemble it! It\'s not the easiest thing to do, and can be really frustrating!
What can I say? Well, I think it\'s best to start off with \"Wow\"

I have played on the Tyros 1 and 2 before, and I really did enjoy them... so Tyros 3 had a lot to live up to, especially as I bought it without playing it or seeing it before hand. Naturally, it didn\'t just live up to my expectations, it completely shattered them!

The machine itself produces rich sounds from the moment you switch it on, and some of the most amazing styles I\'ve ever heard from any instrument... so good in fact, that it made me glad I was sitting down when I was playing it. Usually I stand up, but I can safely say if I was standing, I wouldn\'t have been for long: the sounds turned my legs to jelly, they are truly stunning!

Naturally I had to try everything; IDC, USB ports, Hard Disk Recorder, Song Recorder, Style creator, Multi pad creator, organ flutes... the list goes on!

Faults? Well there are only 61 keys, but if you WANT 88 keys from your Tyros, just plug in another on the MIDI in ports... now if only you could record to the song recorder from a connected keyboard ... but that might just be me asking too much

All-in-all, here we have one of the best digital workstations created to date... and even at that price, you get what you pay for!

I have had my Tyros 3 for just coming up to a fortnight now, and still when I play some of the Super Articulation voices, I hit some wrong notes just to make the Saxophones and Clarinets do their glides and so on...

A must-buy if you\'re looking for a top of the range keyboard!
The Yamaha Pacifica 112v in my opinion is a superb instrument. Straight out of the box the instrument is eminently playable, the intonation was spot-on. The body is well balanced, and the neck with its satin finished rosewood fret board on maple has a beautiful feel. I felt the action was a little high for my liking. This is easily adjusted, however you must then readjust the intonation. The pacifica112v has been fitted with 2 single coil pickups in, neck central positions. A dual coil hum bucker has been fitted at the bridge. A 5 way selector switch is fitted giving, front only, front & centre, centre only, centre and rear, or rear only permutations. A pull switch is fitted to the single master tone control; this taps the hum bucker and effectively shorts out one of the windings. The pull switch selects the back part of the hum bucker closest to the bridge. I noticed that on my 112v I could not get the classic fender bell like tone, from the rear pickups. This effect is caused entirely by the phase relationship (distance apart) of the single coil units. I removed the back wiring plate and discovered that the 112v uses a double pole 5 way selector switch.
Although a pull switch to select a single coil position is fitted, for some strange reason Yamaha have used the second half of the 5-way selector to switch in the coil taps when moved to rear plus centre pickup positions. This sounds like a reasonable idea, however the rearmost part of the hum bucker is just too far away from the centre pickup to produce the classic sound we all expect from a strat style guitar. I removed the wire links from this part of the 5-way switch and reversed the positions of the wires from the hum bucker. The result is perfect, and allows still more flexibility.
I think overall this guitar is extremely good value for money. I think the quality of engineering, precision, and the standard equipment fitted is very high. I have seen many guitars costing twice this price, which quite frankly dont come close.

Buy one you will not regret it.

\"Walking into Dolphin\'s Gateshead Metro Centre store, I was presented with a massive range of guitars.

Fortunately, and as a relative beginner looking for an electro acoustic model, resident expert, Andy Keogh, was on hand to help me through the options. Andy\'s caring & professional approach is worth 10 stars on its own!

It soon became evident that one of the APX models would be the right choice. To my relatively untrained ear, there wasn\'t that much difference between the various APX models & I chose the APX 500 Sunburst.

I find it hard to believe that this instrument is just over 200. Its looks, construction & sound quality would be hard to match by much more expensive models.

Played just as an acoustic, it has a fine crisp sound, ideal for all types of playing styles, which comes to life even more when amplified. And the built in tuner is a real bonus.

Beginners often buy cheap guitars. Sadly, sore fingers from a hard action soon put them off if the poor tone doesn\'t first!

No such fears with the APX 500. Its looks alone make you want to play it & keep it in view for others to admire. The neck design & action make it ideal for learners & decent players too.

The APX 500 is a no brainer. There simply isn\'t a better choice on the market.

Congratulations to Dolphin Music for 10 star customer service & to Yamaha for yet another 10 star product.\"
First item I have bought from Dolphin Music and have to say what great service and helpful staff , will buy again , Now as for the guitar and price \" GREAT \" No set up required only needed tuning that was it , looks good , sounds good , plays good , high quality build which you come to expect from Yamaha. I have been having guitar lessons for about a year and took this guitar to my tutor for his opinion, \" As good as a Pacifica if not better \" was his reply and he would happily gig with it. The price is such good value for money for this quality of instrument , I would highly reccomend this Yamaha guitar to any beginer or acomplished player . Many thanks Dolphin for a great guitar and first class delivery service.

Congratulations to Dolphin Music for 10 star customer service & to Yamaha for yet another 10 star product.

Ok, guys, after having those for just couple of days, I can say that these are far the MOST DETAILED MONITORS I have ever heard. Stereo image is just amazing, low end is tight, mids sound very present and highs are silky and have that cool analog vintage \\\"sand\\\" that somehow everybody wants, if you know what I mean:)
Tweak buttons on the back work just great, especially if you have issues with your room and its acoustic design.
HS80 are built solid as a ROCK and weigh about 13,5 kilograms, which makes this baby very hard to carry especially if you live on the third floor and you have no elevator:)
One more thing, they are incredibly flat and accurate, and I can feel free to say this especially after having heard ADAMs, KRKs and the rest in this price range.
With these Yamahas all your problems are solved, just ENJOY!
The only reason I am giving it 9 and not 10 stars is the thing that I have had these for only a couple of days and I still do not know if I am going to discover any dark sides of these monitors, but I really doubt it!
Cheers!
Received yesterday my new Yamaha FGX720SCA Natural finish, and I\'m very happy with it! Great rich sound and playability. Been playing for hours, and enjoying it more and more. With the standard coated strings from yamaha, it sounds good, a little too bright on the highs for my taste, but it\'s just a matter of changing to a higher gauge, soon as i have the patience to change into the phosphor bronze I already bought.

Seems an excellent value guitar: for the price you get high quality tone and sound, and an overall nicely finished guitar.
Also it looks nice: the natural woods show nicely through the gloss. The neck is a little thinner than what I\'m used, but that\'s ok and even improves playability.

Straight out of the box has a little bit of buzz, but that\'s it.

Haven\'t plugged it yet. The built in tuner works ok and adds ease of use.

In the \"made in china\" range of guitars, after testing a lot, i\'m very happy with this one!
You will gather from the star rating that I like this instrument.
Appearance: Utterly gorgeous! The internet illustrations do not do justice to the finish and workmanship of this instrument. The polished ebony is finished to the same standard seen on Yamaha\'s range of grand acoustics - beautifully black and glossy!
Sound:
The CLP 380 uses 5 samples per note corresponding to the changing character of different key velocities. Loud notes are not just quieter notes with the volume turned up, they take on the \'angry\' tone of an acoustic when played loudly. Softer tones are sweeter. The loud pedal (which allows for half-pedalling) works well, although I sometimes notice an odd \'bloom\' which may be due to my particular settings. A lot of flexibilty is allowed regarding reverberation and tone control, so it may take a while to get just the right sound for you. But, let me just say that I regularly \'forget\' this is a digital piano - and trust me, that means it\'s REALLY good! There are many different sounds to choose from, but the emphasis is on the piano sound (as should be, in my opinion). There are a range of very useable \'main\' sounds (piano, organs, harpsichord, some basses etc.) and a large library of XG sounds which are mostly pretty good in their own right. If you are into doing arrangements, this is a nice to have feature. More on features later.
Playing:
This instrument is primarily a piano (compared to the more general function of the CVP range)and for this job it is superb! The action is silky and light whilst being heavy enough to give it a real piano feel. Ideally, it would be slightly heavier, perhaps but maybe that\'s just a taste thing! I found, for example, that fast trills are not that easy to articulate. Overall, the action is a lot better than many upright acoustics. It allows a great variety of expression which many digitals just can\'t cope with - all tunable to your own preference.
Features:
I can\'t list them all, so I\'ll just mention the most likeable examples. The piano has some demo songs on board which are showcases for all of the main sounds with full accompanyments - short but sweet. They work extremely well through the 8 speakers and amplifiers - surprisingly high quality, in fact! Nice. But in addition to this there are all of the carefully selected classic piano pieces (50) which are included in the sheet music provided. These are high quality performances which you can play along with at a tempo you specify. You can even play along with one hand while the piano plays the other. The selection of pieces deserves real praise because they haven\'t only included the \'easy\' pieces. Some pieces are very tricky and will stretch the most accomplished of players. If you wish, you can of course record your own performances and overlay parts played on other instruments (up to 16 tracks).
Conclusion:
You can read the full specification on the Yamaha site, so I\'ve tried to give you a flavour of living with the instrument. It\'s a very good facsimile of an acoustic except it has the advantages of not going out of tune, having a volume control, having (2) headphone sockets and taking up a reasonable amount of space (unlike a grand piano). It\'s not perfection, but it\'s very, very, good. Always try before you buy, but you can\'t go far wrong with this. Is it expensive? I think it\'s a bargain! One gripe though, the stool is too high for me and it isn\'t adjustable!
Having dithered over a number of options for well over a year I finally took the plunge and now a mirror black eltonesque Yamaha takes pride of place in the front room. Its main competition is the equally imaginatively called Kawai RX2 which due to its \'take it or leave it\' high price marketing - fell at the first hurdle. The Yammy sounds superb if set up right. It also looks the business and not like a toy (baby grands!)and will fit into a decent sized room without totally dominating/looking silly. Buy a dehumidifier - keep it around 45-60% humidity and spend 50-70 every 6 months on a tune-up and you can\'t go wrong. Yes you could buy a cheaper chinese/obscure make but what would you rather have - a BMW 3 series or a Hyundai something or other plus a crate of Lambrusco?
Being a left handed guitarist there is little choice when it comes to good acoustics. If you are looking for a left handed acoustic. This is the one for you, I had the intention of buying a 1500 acoustic and bought this instead. It plays beautifully and looks amazing. The action is great and is everything you would expect from a top end guitar but at a fraction of the cost. I use this guitar in the studio and on the road and its fantastic. If i could go back id still buy this guitar every time.
Great quality AD conversion. The only reason that I didn\'t rate this product 10 stars is because of the dip-switch controlled gain settings (3*4 different settings). I\'d rather have 4 small potentiometers at the rear end. This product is great if you\'re going to use it for line-inputs though. Although several sites fail to mention it, this product is compatible with the AW2400.
As I happen to own a SG-2000 several years ago, I never come up with a guitar that could compare to it later.
Now I bought the SG-1000,still a quite amount money. The look/finish has now became almost the same as the SG-2000 (the white board that goes round the body\\\'s edge t.ex.) The only difference still is the tone/sustain(thru neck and brass block). SG-1000 sounds darker and the sustain is a tiny bit shorter than the 2000. BUT its still the 2nd.best guitar ever and the sound may suit some folks better. If you want any other guitar just turn the volume knob halfway down and you get the idea. The output is so strong that you might need a new amplifier to receive the signals without distortion. The ebony and the BIG frets gives you better sound and playability all free. Its coilswitch let you choose between skreamin leads to fat jazzy and even a acoustic as the body rings out like \\\"churchorgan\\\". This is not just a guitar, its a music instrument for all styles. I myself likes the more heavy stuff and find that intonation is perfect allover (a false note will destroy the \\\"marshall sound\\\".)

The only drawback is that if your spending this much on a guitar, your friends will say:-\\\"What? that much? And it isn\\\'t a Gibson?\\\". Then you have to let them borrow the guitar, just to tell them the difference between dull and joy.

-How are you?
-I sound much better now, thank you!
This all solid classical guitar is quality all of the way, with all solid construction and set-up extremely well and playing immaculately out of the box. Neck and action play beautifully. Articulate voicing enables you to demand whichever tonal variation you could want, with the confidence that it will deliver. Ask it to whisper and it will, but ask it to growl and it will roar. Great overall tone.

Beautiful finished with precisely crafted inlay work(Soundhole, body & rear centre strip), exacting timber choice and such eager to please tonality raises these instruments to a quality level way beyond their competitor\'s - both within this price bracket and in comparison to quite a number from the next tier up.

When all is said and done these solid bodied instruments are well worth the investment and capable of taking your playing to un-expected levels.

I\'ve rated this guitar at nine stars because you can find better instruments, but only at much higher prices.
Bands playing in small venues that want compact PA rigs - say in the 3KW range - but demand a fully-featured sound.

And we\\\'ve all gone through working with the powered mixer amps that don\\\'t have the delivery grunt or monitoring flexibility; the smaller desks that deliver that \\\"head down the jet engine\\\" midrange and lugging in an overkill quantity of outboard gear to try to overcome the problems of your average small hall.

Well, this beastie fixes 90% of your issues in one lightweight package.

First things first : Out of the box, it\\\'s simple enough to operate that smaller bands or those that don\\\'t really want or need a dedicated techie can run it themselves with good results. And for once in a way, the manual\\\'s got some genuinely useful observations to add in too. But if you do want to add in some extras, then sensible features like the channel inserts and the flexible grouping help to make your job that much more straightforward.

Next up : Sound quality. In a word : lovely. It\\\'s warm, clear and rich and there\\\'s a heap of headroom in all the main control functions that means that you don\\\'t feel like you\\\'re pushing the thing to its limits every time.

So why only give it the 9/10 rating ? Two gripes : Having a channel inset on each of the main outputs would be icing on the cake and the onboard effects don\\\'t do the rest of the unit justice : The reverbs and delays are a shade sterile sounding compared to the great sound of the rest of the unit. But that\\\'s just me being greedy...

So, in a nutshell : If you want something for small venue work with limited lineups or if you\\\'re after a submixer for vocals or brass get hold of one of these and enjoy the ride...
This machine has blown me out of the proverbial water! WOW!!I can honestly say there is nothing I would change, even if I had been on the design team. I currently have it plugged into Sonar 7 PE and it is out-performing my wildest expectations and that\'s saying something for this skunky little audiophile! The sounds are what you would expect from a MUCH more expensive machine and I LOVE the pale timber finish...it smacks of Quality and I strongly encourage anyone looking for a blistering bargain to wend your way to your nearest Yamaha Music Centre...but be warned, you\'ll need several valium and a box of tissues to wipe up the drool!
I was a bit skeptical when Yamaha announced their new DGX model. Most of the time yamaha offer a replacement for a model increase the price by 100 and make minimal if no changes. I will compare with the 620 later.

The facts: The DGX-630 is a recently released portable Digital Piano. The Yamaha DGX-630 is a 88-key weighted graded hammer action portable keyboard this is great giving you a high variation and like a traditional acoustic piano, the lower keys on the Yamaha DGX630 have a heavier touch while the higher keys are more responsive to lighter playing, this is a great touch and not to be underrated giving a real piano feel when you are trying it out.

The DGX630 keyboard further can be adjusted to suit your playing style. Improvements on the earlier Yamaha DGX-530 digital piano include 64-note polyphony, a beautiful matching bench and an Optional three-pedal unit, along with additional DSP Digital Signal Processing effects that can be added to the Main and Dual voices to enable realistic sounding Distortion Guitar and Rotary Organ. I do have a complaint that you have to pay extra for the pedal unit when many cheaper alternatives can easily be found.

The Yamaha DGX-630 digital grand piano also offers USB MIDI and USB to Device for removable flash memory storage, I have not tried this however have tried it with logic and found no complaints.

Further improvements include a grand stereo sample, song recorder, score and lyric display.

Aside from each song\'s default style, the Yamaha DGX630 keyboard\'s Easy Song Arranger allows you to select other styles to play a song. Create different arrangements by changing the song\'s style, or change the song\'s melody voice and keyboard voice for a total change of image. TheYamaha DGX630\'s Performance Asistant Technology even corrects your performance bloopers.

The Yamaha DGX-630 digital grand piano offers an affordable, feature-packed portable keyboard with authentic grand piano, amazingly responsive throughout. A single Portable Grand Button sets the Yamaha DGX630 to an authentic sounding grand piano however continues to have the flexibility of different sounds and feels. Altogether this is a great keyboard.

The Yanaha Education Suite built into the Yamaha DGX630 digital grand piano is a set of piano lessions in easy steps. Learn to read music with the Yamaha DGX630 keyboard\'s Music Notation Disply which shows the corresponding score as a song plays. If the song contains lyric and chord data, these wil also appear in the score display.

The differences between its predecessor (i.e. DGX-620) is minimal at best and if you can you might as well go for the cheaper, nevertheless, the 64-note polyphony of the DGX-630/YPG-635 is a welcome change for one of Yamaha\'s cheaper brands..

I needed a small and flexible PA system for our various Buddhist meetings, held in various halls and conference centres with everything from 30 to 150 people attending. It had to be compact, portable, powerful enough to do the job and well priced EUR hence Yamahas Stagepas 300.
Frankly, Ive been quite amazed. First, power. With 100 people chanting away, its important that the person leading the service can be clearly heard; in every case it worked perfectly. Quite a surprise, especially and the mixer and integrated amplifier is about the same size as an A4 sheet of paper. Where, as my friend said, is the amplifier?

Flexibility: Well, its not the 96 input fully digital, automated mixer that Im used to seeing in OB trucks. But then not does it cost the same as a decent house. Yes, it would be nice to have PFL. Yes it would be great to have pan pots. Yes, it would be wonderful to have PPMs on every channel. But thats not what its about. Its a simple, easy to use, un-confusing PA system, perfectly adequate for a conference with up to four mics and two layback inputs (and even line outputs for transcriptions). More important, at the price, build quality is excellent; this is a professional system, not an all dancing, all singing, flashing lights unit for wannabees that fails on the first outing.

299.00 is a stunning price, albeit that youll need speaker stands, extra cabling etc. As it gets loaned out to other members, its become obvious jut how sturdy this system is. I love it.

I bought my YCR 4330 G after reading an opinion of it in BrassReview.com. Here\'s the link:

http://www.brassreview.com/reviews/showproduct.php/product/1323/sort/8/cat/184/page/1

Firstly I must say that I\'m very pleased in the service I got from Dolphinmusic. They delivered the instrument promptly and took the trouble to keep me informed until the package had safely arrived. If you buy from DolphinMusic, you can safely expect to have a good service.

Then to my first impressions of the instrument. The tone of the instrument is pleasantly mellow and surprisingly resonant. Without a doubt, with this instrument you can succesfully play the sweetest cantilena to the fullest effect.

Valves work without trouble (although they are a bit too light to my taste) and the overall finish of the instrument is good. C sharp and d in the first octave need a bit adjustment as they are too sharp, but as this is usually the case, it should be considered more as a property and not as a defect.

In a sum: I sincerely believe that in this price range you can\'t expect to find a better instrument. And you must look really hard if you are going to find it in a better price than in DolphinMusic.
The machine is outstanding. That is, once you've waded through probably the most complicated, user un-friendly mind blowing instruction manual ever written!! There is no "getting started" section which I'd say most of us have come to expect when buying this kind of unit. I've had several recording set-up's over the past 20 years, from porta studios to ADAT to MD to HD, this is my first DAW and I really thought I'd bitten off more than I could chew..... However, I stuck with it and am I glad I did! The machine oozes quality, the effects are outstanding, the mixing facilties, gating and compression on every track etc. Above all the sound this unit produces goes far beyond anything else in it's price bracket, the demo is indeed dead, the sky is the limit!!

Highly recommended, but don't expect an easy ride, especially if this is your first experience of a DAW.
This guitar must be the most under rated axe ever!! The pinicle of Yamaha's 'Japanese' quality. Its awesome it knocks the 335 into a cocked hat, on build quality, playability, and the shear awesome sustain it has. The coil taps are brill bringing in guts when you need it. The neck is just the most comfortable I've ever played, cool blues or Jazz it burns like a Les Paul.
Enough said, go and try one with a Marshall amp.

Despite all the other ecellent features of this product I simply cannot see the point of a USB mixer which does not offer multi-track recording. This model just gives you a single track stereo mix of the various tracks. All literature regarding the product seems to be intentionally vague about this issue and no retail staff anywhere seem any the wiser. seing as this is in the same price range as the Alesis multimix 8 track mixing desk it should have this function to be competitive. I have to say i felt misled and ended up with a product that is essentially useless for my needs. Take care
Had the EMX5014C for a couple of months now, and have to say, for the money, it is excellent value. If you are looking for a versatile mixer that can cover 90% of small live events then this is for you. In short, it has everything you need and nothing you don't.

My set up has this generally coupled to a pair of Yamaha MSR400 active FoH speakers, so I use the internal power amps solely to supply the aux monitor channels (pair of JBL JRX112). It was bought with maximum versatility in mind for the outlay, so could equally be switched to directly run passive FoH speakers. Output sound quality is excellent. It is simple and intuitive to use, and while not having some of the extra funtionality of more expensive mixers, is more than adequate for most applications and doesn't confuse the user with unnecessary features that they don't generally need. This is important as it gets dry-hired for pub type bands and small gigs.

Good Points: One knob compression facility very useful and well implemented. On-board effects easy to select and use. Plenty of signal routing options. Sound quality is excellent. CD input via phono sockets, direct record out.

Bad Points: Would have been nice to have four band eq. Stereo outputs should be balanced. Not sure how robust it is, but then again, mine is in a flightcase.

Excellent Points: The manual supplied is absolutely one of the best ever. Apart from the usual bits telling you what the knobs and sockets etc do and where they are, there is a truly excellent section on the basics of sound mixing and what the knobs will actually do when you muck about with them.

Conclusion: For a reasonably priced, very versatile small mixer, you can't really go wrong with this. Reliability... well, I've had loads of Yamaha gear over the years and it has all proved to be pretty reliable and good quality, although time will tell.

		User: Simon Williams
Rating; 9/10
This morning I took delivery of a Yamaha PSR-S900. I needed something lighter to carry to church and practice sessions, something with onboard speakers but without sacrificing too much of what the Tyros 2 gave.

Well, after unpacking the keyboard and delving around the box for the accessories, I was very pleased to see a 'proper' separate switched mode power supply instead of a 'brick in the wall' power supply. The PSU is similar to a laptop, small and light and reassuringly good quaity. Finish on the S900 is amazing, my wife said it looks a baby tyros 2! Nice clean panel, no lettering on the buttons (phew) and no coloured buttons, although the in-built LED's in each button are really neat. I slotted the grey plastic music rest on the back (not quite the solid affair that the T2 provides but it does the job) and connected up my Acoustic Energy Aego M system to the line outs.

First impressions when I played the keyboard was the different "feel" to the keys, more springy and a little lighter than the T2. However after playing for a few minutes I quickly became acustomed to the feel and actually found it easier to play lighter phrases and control the dynamics.

I was eager to find out just how much I had lost from the Tyros 2, but instead I quickly became astonished at just how much was there! Infact all the "bread and butter" sounds were present and sounding just as good as they did on T2. Now I remember when I moved from the Tyros 1 to the PSR3000, expecting a baby T1 but the sound quality of the 3000 did seem to differ from the T1. Not so on the S900, quality sounds and punchy, clean and dynamic. Most suprising were the Super Articulation voices, infact other than the SA string sounds (which if I am honest with myself I rarely used for performance) everything I needed was present. The superb acoustic guitars, the electrics, the brass sounds... Perhaps most amazing were the presence of the power drum kits and latin percussion kits... The S900 doesn't advertise having "live!" drums but playing the power kits manually I suddenly realised they ARE multisampled and sound just as they do on the T2! Incredible! Things seem to be too good to be true!

I suppose if I were to be critical, the display could do with being angled a bit more towards the player as although I can see it clearly from a playing stance, I did find myself bending forward to study the details. Nice display though and controllable for both brightness and contrast. Shame you can't alter the background colours though.

Initially I found having the part R1 and R2 controls on the second row above the OTS buttons took me a bit of getting acustomed too, but now its second nature. You don't get the 3 layers (R1-R3) as on the T2, but the sounds are thick enough to work nicely with just the 2 layers.

Some nice new styles too in the banks, particular enjoyed the Irish hymns and acoustic pop and ballads. Everything sounded great through the Aego speakers, punchy and tight and the cymbals decayed and rung without any sacrifice in quality.

Wonder how my previous midi recordings from T2 will play on the S900? Well I quickly dumped a few dozen of the church tracks I use to a spare memory stick and with in no time I loaded them up... they played beautifully! Other than the T2's cornet being replaced now with a SA trumpet, everything sounded great!

Perhaps the surprising extra for me that I was hoping for (but didn't expect it after reading the online manual beforehand) was the ability to individually name each of the registrations in a bank and see them displayed above the bank name on the main screen. I always found this a great feature on the T2 and was astonished to find I had it on the S900! Another gold star...

So what was missing from the T2? Well I mentioned the SA strings, no big loss though as the S900 still has the beautiful Live! strings and also a nice symphonic strings voice. Quite a few of the pad and lead synth voices not present, but again nothing that's going to be missed sorely. Styles isn't such an issue these days as you can load banks of new ones, and the S900 has enough bread and butter styles to keep you entertained and certainly everything I used from the T2.

I actually prefer the pitch bend wheel on the S900 over the T2, as it has a small projection on it (a sort of handle) you can flick it with a finger. Also felt the USB features were better integrated, particularly the direct to USB sound recorder. I did miss having a front USB port though.

Until now I was listening to the 900 through external speakers and amplifier.. I was expecting nothing marvelous when I decided to turn off the external system and hear the S900 on its own internal speakers... boy was I in for a suprise! Wow! The S900 speaker system is a huge improvement on past keyboards, warm, lots of presence, the sound stage seems to stretch beyond the back of the instrument as you sit there playing. Ok it won't shake the floor with its volume levels, but the sound is closer to a HiFi speaker set up than what you would expect from onboard speakers for a keyboard! The secret I discovered is below... looking at the base of the S900, Yamaha have incorporate solid mdf wooden backs to the speaker cabinet areas within the case, and it certainly does help! No resonating plastic cases, but a warm and solid sound. Another gold star!

I'm sure you can tell that I am very impressed the PSR-S900. It's quite a leap from the PSR-3000 and certainly is a lot closer to the Tyros and Tyros 2 than ever a PSR has come before. I could go on, but I've got to get back downstairs and play this thing!

The S900 certainly has my recommendation, and I expect it will be the keyboard of choice for many arranger enthusiasts looking for top quality sounds and styles, plenty of features but possibly not quite to Tyros 2 level. If you get a chance have a listen and play it, I am sure you will be impressed at this price. It's a great value machine, portable and practical yet isn't a million miles away from Yamaha's flagship model, the Tyros 2. Infact if you are looking for a more portable Tyros 2 and can live without sampling and an internal harddisk ( you can connect an external USB HDD or memory stick to the PSR-S900) and aren't bothered by an aftertouch responsive keyboard, onboard compressor, individual outputs and a few extra sounds, then the S900 could be the answer to your prayers.

I have just decided to learn to play an Electric guitar, after loads of searching I settled on the Yamaha erg 121.
Best decision yet, I am a bit long in the tooth to be learning this stuff but with the erg 121 I found the frets just enough to take the pain while I learn.
My mate bought a cheap type (Not Yamaha)and the frets are high the strings loose their tune it's just a fit to play it.
Not this erg121 though it's great a smoothish fret and stays tuned as well, all round well behaved my mate is looking for a cheap Yamaha, I said try here so lets wait and see we could be the oldest swingers in town.
Take care, bye

The HS50M's are definetly the best nearfield and low level monitors I have heard on the market... however if you are making music with heavy bass (50hz or below) it is essential to invest in the Yamaha HS10W subwoofer aswell.

Once these are all set up together, they are the perfect small studio monitoring system.

Excellent build quality, easy to set up with the subwoofer, and they look great aswell.
I bought my clavinova for the main purpose of getting my fingers get used to the feel of playing a real piano compared to electronic keyboard which I have been playing for a while.

Clavinova not only gives you a realistic piano feel. The sound piano sound as well is very realistic. Forget the fact that is has a few more sounds, this two features alone definitely is worth the money spent.

And what more it comes with a chair, 50 songs and a piano score for more advanced player.

Although may I advice that a more proficient player may wish for a better sound, this is definitely a great starter piano
This is the best value for money. For under 400 you can expect the quality of a Yamaha Tour Custom without burning a hole in your pocket. This kit sounds really good. It comes with double braced hardware, a pedal better than the one that comes with the Yamaha Stage Custom Noveau and the bass drum comes with 2 black maple hoops whereby the bass drum resembles the Steve Gadd Snare. This kit can easily be compared to the likes of Yamaha's top of the range kits and is a kit worth investing in. Unlike other makes, Yamaha took time to ensure that the kits they produce at entry are on point whereas with other makes you can clearly discern between models. Yamaha never fails to please and is a make that professionals are in demand of.

What a guitar for this price!

The tone is warm but not too dead. Volume sufficient and the action is excellent. Stays in tune, every string, all the way up and can take a good thrashing as well as sounding sweet when finger-picking.

Inoffensive looks and a matt finish that feels natural and is effective on the back of the fingerboard as you don't slide around too much when hands get sweaty.

If you are starting off, this guitar will serve you well into your playing 'career'. If you are the type of person (like me) who's played for a while and just wants a solid guitar they aren't afraid to take outside this is a great choice. Haven't played another guitar at this price that is this good.

Remember though, play in store before you buy cheaper-end guitars can be one-offs; bloody excellent or bloody terrible.

This guitar is amazing! It offers better tone, sustain and versatility than a Les Paul Standard and the build quality is far superior.
The difference between the set neck in the SG 1000 and the Thru Neck in the 2000 is very apparent and the Ebony fingerboard is so smooth, like maple but with a darker tone. Brilliant for classic rock. Recommended for those mature enough to see past a name on a headstock and buy the right guitar.
Brilliant entry level keyboard, I bought mine from the Huddersfield branch a month ago and since then my playing has come on leaps and bounds. Great rhythm box, loads of voices, it and very simple to work out the controls, for the money I dont think theres anything that even comes near it around at the moment.
This cant be only 200W!! Its so loud!!

I have this hooked up to two JBL JRX115s and ive never turned it up past 2/3rds volume, or my ears may burst!

This mixer allows great flexibility, with a large number of inputs for mono and stereo. It has a built in effects processor, and the values and volume for each effect can be changed. The knobs are robust and have a heavy good-quality feel to them. The limiter is very useful, as is the feedback detector above each channel. The monitor channel has its own EQ and volume control. There are various outputs on the front and reverse, allowing great flexibility.

The only thing stopping this from being 9/10 is that when the effects are active you get very slight noise when there is nothing playing. However when the effects are not on, there is no noise at all.

Brilliant built quality, i would reccomend this P.Mixer.
Yamaha Maple Custom Drums :
Yamaha quality is guaranteed, the sound that I can get from the drums is round and warm from the toms with a beautifully defined punch from the bass drum. The snare sounds superb and compliments the kit perfectly. These are still Yamahas most expensive drums and should not be confused with the cheaper Absolutes. I have compared these to my Tama Bubinga drums and these come out on top in terms of sound especially when recorded. I imagine these would now rival the Recording Custom range in terms of being the most recorded drums in history. The colour options are a little limited but do look superb and the gold lugs just round everything off. highly recommneded!

Whats not to like about the Maple Customs is the price and the long delivery times as these are now made purely to order so expect a six month waiting list unless you are lucky enough to find a shop that has invested in a kit on spec (doubtfull.....)

Akira Jimbo's snare drum is Japan in 13" by 7" of wood and steel joy. What am I talking about? Well if you've ever been to Japan you'll know that you will see the most cutting edge of technology side by side with the most beautiful and ascetically pleasing of the past, an Ipod next to a Temple if you like. And that's what this snare is, it's the past updated with the future. A wonderfully light shell with glorious wooden hoops gives the drum a very light and funky sound. A nice smooth snare mechanism and small lugs adds up to a really nice little snare drum. The only thing I didn't like was the Remo made Yamaha heads which aren't of the same quality. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a snare you can get some nice solid backbeats with but also some nice funky overtones. Li desu yo! As they say in Japan.
The keyboard does excactly what the product description says. Will instantly work with Cubase AI through USB port. The keyboard action and build is above average. Although it is very lightweight (something less than 5Kg) it stands to its promise. Although I did not have the time to work too much with it I am happy with the product. It really does integrate with the DAW very well but I feel this is something easily done will all the recent midi/usb keyboards nowadays. The software is excellent for people starting with computer music.
We bought the DGX 620 so that our children could practice piano in between their lessons. We're not musicians so we didn't want to spend thousands on a first (traditional) piano that no-one would end up using. The DGX 620 sounds great, plays well, looks good and is great value for money. It's got a full-sized keyboard but the whole thing is compact enough to fit into our kitchen where everyone (including mum and dad) is tempted to have a go, so we're all benefitting from it. It has all the high-tech tricks (MIDI, USB etc.) as well so it can appeal to gadget freaks as well. Highly recommended.
I\\\'ve never been a \\\"big name only\\\" product snob so I\\\'ve never been afraid to look for the \\\"diamonds in the rough\\\", so to be speak. I truly found one in the Yamaha LL6. I had been looking for a guitar to record with and was very close to dropping almost two thousand dollars on one particular \\\"big name\\\" guitar, however I was blessed to pick up this one in a small local music shop that had been on the wall for some time and was discounted rather heavily to move it. All I can say is that it must have been waiting for me. The fit and finish on the guitar are flawless, and I mean flawless, even on the inside. The solid Engleman spruce top is very resonant and is getting better each day, as it breaks in. Note articulation is beautiful, rich bass response and sparkly trebles are in abundance with just the right amount of sustain. The string spacing is 44mm at the nut which gives the finger stylist ample maneuvering room. The neck has a medium thickness and is comfortable for me, not having particularly large hands. The action is low and consistent the entire length of the neck which facilitates playing in all positions without fatigue,(very important), without any trace of fret buzz. The back and sides are laminated rosewood but it sounds better than many solid tonewood guitars that I\\\'ve played (90% of the sound comes from the guitar\\\'s top anyway). Honestly, in a blind test you would not be able to distinguish this guitar from one costing thousands more. I\\\'ll place the money saved into a few good microphones. HIGHLY recommended! Good job, Yamaha.
This yam kit ,however, feels very well setup. very responsive, great feel, fantastic sound.

The best part is the price. with cymbals included!! It's great for a beginner, easy to tune, sturdy, hardware is a little shabby, but hey, for the price, WHO CARES!

I purchased the left handed version of this guitar for my 14 year old daughter who is learning guitar.

I already had a 112J Pacifica ao when I saw a left hander available I snapped it up.

I am very impressed with the build quality, sound and feel of the guitar. Fro the price there is absolutely nothing that can touch it. It is also an excellent guitar to learn with.

10/10!!
I play the Tyros keyboard and do a bit of singing, up until now all for fun. My first proper gig with the new sound kit took place last week at the local golf club and my singing coach and her stage engineer took in the performance. Both gave the Stagepas 300 rave reviews in terms of sound quality and ease of use. I am delighted to report that the audience also loved it and further bookings immediately followed the show. I couldn't have asked for more.
