Great sound and easy to set up, neat when packed away. Wheels very poor quality, worn out quickly and fallen off. Also topples over when being wheeled on slighlty uneven ground (even across a car park). Unit is too heavy to carry everywhere. Needs better quality wheels and longer speaker cables.
Very easy to use and cheap.
Different mikes have different impedencies and therefore constant adjustment is necessary. Lapel mike is not sensitive enough to pick up a quiet speaker without howlback. But it is only 100 or so.
Avoid. Rubbish. Our men\'s meeting club bought one and it has never been used for a whole talk, as it either hisses, crackles or \'howls round\' no matter how you adjust it. Electronics obviously poor quality and the transmitter signal cannot get through if speaker\'s body gets in the way.
My 3 piece band uses 2 PM-10\\\'s and one of the additional passive extensions.

These are low-cost, robust and to date after 18 months use completely fault free. They are also fool-proof to set up.

They sound very fine and the low cost does not mean they are in any way substandard for what we do - club level rock gigs.

Well recommended.
I bought this monitor then later purchased the EM10 to spread the sound around the room and cause i just wanted a pair.

Very loud given it\\\'s size yet still portable and adaptable to the desired set up.

I\\\'ve used it for recording and practising with a variety of instruments.
Acoustic bass/guitar, Electric bass/guitar, vocals, clarinet, cornet, sax, flute and harmonica.

Excellent for practising and recording with little feedback.
The only feedback i\\\'ve had was due to messing about with mics so not really from the monitors at all.

For a \\\'sound example\\\' check out.

First two tracks recorded using miced up monitors with guitar and vocals playing through them.
Seperate bass n drums.

Enjoy.
Compact, light, portable and versatile.

I\'ve used these mainly for band practises playing a variety of instruments through it.
Mics, guitars, bass, electroacoustic bass, a variety of \\\'orchestra\\\' instruments (sax, clarinet, flute)

and to put it simply, it\\\'s rather damn good.

For practising it\\\'s plenty loud enough, i use it alongside the PM10 matching monitor though on it\\\'s own it\\\'s fine aswell. The only downfall is that you can\\\'t change the EQ on it without being hooked up to a mixer. Though for the price tag, the lowest inc. P+P that i\\\'ve seen, it\\\'s well worth it.

I can\\\'t judge it\\\'s live capabilities but given how it\\\'s fared when practising it\\\'s well worth it.

Enjoy.

Neat compact mixer easy to operate and great sound reproduction. Fantastic value for a 125 watt mixer Also the onboard delay is excellent. I use it for monitors but could easilly cope with front line with its 4 channels each with jack and XLR inputs. The fx loop and line out are a bonus. In all I found it to be an exellent piece of kit and great price Highly recommended as a small venue PA or as a start up PA
I've had this amp for about two years now. To start out I thought it was pretty decent - it has a decent clean tone which my band demands and a versatile overdrive channel.

However there are quite a few problems with this amp that I've encountered lately. First of all, it's clean channel is quite flat in comparison to other amps of the same power, for example Marshalls.

Second of all, this amp is not suitable for gigs. Decently sized gigs at least - basically because when you crank the volume up, it looses a hell of a lot of tone. I often have to push up the gain to compensate, which I hate doing.

For a beginner, this is a very nice amp. But if you're looking for a gig friendly amp, look elsewhere. Especially if you're focus is on the clean channel.

That said - I hardly ever use the overdrive channel. So I can't make too many comments on that, it sounds alright to me. But I've never been able to level it out to the same volume as the clean section - so switching at gigs could cause problems.

This amp will soon be my practice amp, and it'll do a good job of that. But when it comes to performance, you really should be looking for something better known.
This monitor is simply fantastic - light (10kg) & compact, well-made and incredibly cheap.

The only reason it doesn't get a 10 is because I'll save teh 10 for a powered monitor such as the Carlsboro PM10. But if your mixing desk is loud enough to send a good output signal to the EM10, you'll simply won't find what to complain about.

I was surprised at how clear and powerful the 10" speaker was.

I think the EM10 would make a great pair with the PM10.

If you've ever played in a venue with no decent monitors, give them this tip - get a Carlsboro EM10...it's quite cheap, there's no excuse not to have one!

Versatile, reliable and durable. Not the first words that come to mind when talking about what many consider a beginner amp. Yet, in my experience the Carlsbro Kickstart 25 displays all three.

A fairly standard panel across the front; Master Volume, Gain (+ on and off button), Bass, Middle, Treble and Reverb with a Line In, a Footswitch socket and a headphone socket. With a bit of careful tweaking, almost any sound can be squeezed from this little amp. Indie, punk, metal, rock, pop...I've found all are capable on this amp, although it can take some careful fiddling to get the perfect sound. This versatility, in my opinion, makes up for the fact that the Reverb isn't all that great, in some cases it's barely noticeable at all.

Reliability...in the two years that I've played this amp, which ranges from home practice to band practices to small gigs at college, I've only ever had one problem, which was when the Gain and Volume were both cranked right the way up where it started to crackle. Only problem in all that time. Without being mic'ed up, this amp was audible over drums, bass, another guitar and vocals at all my band practices, but definitely needs to be mic'ed up for gigs. That said, it's never let me down at a gig and considering the problems other people have had with small wattage amps, I'm definitely impressed with this.

Finally, durability. Well, this amp has been hauled into the back of vans, onto buses, packed in tight in tiny cars and generally carted just about everywhere my guitar's been. It's been knocked off of a chair, tumbled backwards on the bus and had a cable broken inside of it which lead to a DIY removal of the cable end. And still it's fit for practice and stage usage. Never have I had to pay for a repair, and admittedly I may have been lucky but I'd like to think it's because this is one tough little critter of an amp.

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this amp to someone starting out looking for a decent solid state amp to learn on, with an eye for starting a band. Admittedly it probably won't compete with a number of beginner tube amps but when you consider the significant difference in price I'd put it at the top of my list. In fact, I've been so impressed with the quality of this Carlsbro Kick-start, I'll be buying a bigger wattage amp from the Carlsbro range in the future.
This amp has a beautiful warm tone and really brings out the characteristics of each guitar. The 'Fat' feature does exactly what it says on the tin and the scoop creates good tones for a harsher sound. The gain boost (overdrive) gives a classic sound, but it sounds equally at home with effects pedals, so it has great versatility.

Although 30w RMS its very loud and great for gigging.

Being completely valve it is heavy, the handle on the top could be a bit more sturdy, but the hassle of transporting to a gig would be worthwhile.
I purchased it after having a Marshall 10 w, Peavy 150w, FBT 250 w. The clean sound is really good for the price and equal to higher priced amps (Vox valvetronix, roland cube is what Ive tested). For overdrive youll have to get a multieffects. The deep bass is not good, so not recommendable for tipical heavy metal sounds. It appears to be well manufactured, but time will tell.
